So who would win? No Runes involved no outside help for both. 1v1. Random encounter. My opinion is that Ryze takes this but I want to see other people's opinions and debate (I'm bored asf irl and have nothing else to do atm)
Vel'koz wins hands down.
The only way you could oppose him is winning by either nuke him down before he can lay... Eye on you or you are employing a specific kind of magic which counters the Void's.
I would say Vel'Koz.
He is the oldest surviving voidborn, and he used his lifespan to search knowledge in the most effective way. He is also one of the first of the voidborn. He is/was observer of the Watchers. He has a special place in the Void hiearchy and definitely not a simple voidborn.
I will say Vel'Koz is far more cunning than Ryze, and Ryze is fragile, a glass canon. For that reason he would likely die even before fight started. Not because Ryze is weak but because Vel'Koz is an "otherworldly" supernatural being even among supernatural beings...
Im pretty sure that VelKoz wins: he is older, smarter, bigger, stronger and his magic has more range than Ryze... one good laser in the head and the bald dude is dead.
Id say Velkoz wins.. Why? Ryze is only human :/ Yes He is an incredible mage but his body is human... We must not forget about the fragility of a human body! Yes he has magic and he can fight back and protect himself but there hasnt been anything like Velkoz that Ryze faced(correct me if Im wrong)....(even if) Ryze would be great in protecting himself and fighting back and heres the catch: It takes one tiny misstep for Ryze to be disintegrated whereas Velkoz in my Opinion can take a hit from Ryze,however due to him being human I dont see Ryze being able to tale a hit from Velkoz and surviving :/ Even when Ryze fought the voidling in the Short, The voidling fought back hard and if the voidling was able to do something ,Velkoz would also.
With no outside help I think Vel'Koz wins without question due to his plasma based disintegration techniques. Give Ryze a couple runes though and then it could be a very different story
