Never have I made a discussion before but this time I am making one since I think it's worhty of noting. Also no, it is not a rant, it is a friendly critique for the artist. I still think it's perfect so whoever made this, awesome job! <3 It's adorable!! :3

I noticed some minor mistakes in the Neeko's splash art. Her being my main made me point them out this time and just note about them. First off, the biggest problem would be her face. Original Neeko has a distinctive lizard shaped pupils wich aren't there on this splash art. Then, the big lashes are missing, bigger eyebrows, her marks on the cheeks and that sharp heart shape of the upper lip. Also the nose is realy too small...So it needs to be bigger.

Then we have the forehead wich needs to be smaller, the jawline needs to be a bit more full and also the bangs are slightly too high...not that it makes such a big difference but is slightly wierd… The whole face doesn't look as Neeko as she is if you know what I'm saying. A part of her personality went away when discarding the pupils, the lip shape, freckels etc. So it just makes her less like her..

Now I would like to point out the gold details that seem to be missing? on the left glove and left shoe? Her left that is. The right hand has those gold details so I assume that the empty lines on the left one are supposed to be those details? Maybe left unpainted for a reason or as a mistake that was forgotten. The last detail….that probably noone notices….is the little grey star on the left side of the painting...I'm very sure it was a painting mistake when trying out the star shaped brushes in Photoshop and it was left unnoticed by the artist. Nowhere else on the painting are simmilar grey stars of that shape...so I assume it was a mistake. That is all. :)

I love the new design and I am probably going to buy this one since it's so adorable and I love the design so much! ^^ Also i did not fix this by myslef, most of the face was fixed by some other artist on tumblr from wich I do not know the name of. I just fixed the lip and details on shoes and that one tiny star.

Regarding the other new Star guardian skins…..uhhh I don't realy know. I'm suprised Zoe ended up being the dark star skin? And also Xayah and Rakan? I dunno i'm confused. I saw other discussions are mostly about the others having a wierd choice of their skin.

the proportions of her face don't look like it's neeko still

flatten the nose more enlarge the upper lip a bit more and the eyes as well

your splashart is great, but I prefer the original: neeko looks more different from the others, mysterious and sweet, her eyes look dreamy and the bigger eyelashes you added are very beautiful but make her look like all girls(in LOL). nice work anyway*[slayer-pantheon-thumbs]*

I finally figured out what neeko's face in the splash reminds me of. She kinda looks like a Coraline character from the movie.

Damn, your edit looks so much better. The original just seems to be missing the final bit of every part of her face.

What I noticed though, your edit makes her look a lot more like the "Kai'Sa" face proportions. The thing they got criticized for with the IG female skins' faces all looking super similar. Maybe they didn't want it to look like that stereotype female face again, but went way overboard.

Nevertheless yours is 10 times better than the original.

Hair should honestly be more pink as well. The skin and the splash look totally different when it comes to the hair, unless I'm colorblind.

So today i just saw the skins spotlight and apparently the skin itself won't have the pupils and also the gold details on just one side of her gloves and shoes was intentional….i find that wierd tho. But ok...it seems it was planned not to have the other detail painted. I still hope they maybe just maybe change something about it to feel more like Neeko. She's still cute tho and can't wait to play in that skin ^^
