League of Legends turns to Marvel comics to explore the game's rich lore

Some more information: -The first monthly release will be on December 19. -There will be a physical edition for sale in May 2019 -Odin "WAAARGHbobo" Austin Shafer is the writer; the artist is Nina Vakueva

Regarding the question if we can read it for free:

The individual Ashe issues will be available on Universe same as they have been, “director’s cuts” with special backup material will be available on ComiXology and other paid digital platforms, & the physical graphic novel will be available for purchase once the series concludes.

Also, why not DC? Marvel's comic division is pretty much in the garbage right now and I feel like league's champs would be a little more in line with DC. I mean imagine Batman, Cait, Vi, and Vayne go against Joker, Shaco, Jinx, and HQ. Then they have to take on a team up of Poison Ivy and Zyra.

Blegh. Overall great to see more work in lore. But I am not a comic person and I am a little dismayed at how much riot seems to like them.

I am curious to see what we get from this story, but I admit that I really wish we could just get a full fledged novel.
