With the revelation that the Watchers now control the Void as well as Lissandra and the Iceborn, this suddenly makes a lot more sense. Maybe it's not intentional, but how much of a coincidence is it that the Iceborn Side of the Abyss is purple and has a motif reminiscent of a void monster?
The question that I have now is: Why isn't there any trace of the void in the freljord?(or at least none that we have seen so far).
Maybe there are different groups among the watchers?The ones in the freljord would be frozen watchers,while the ones doing the void stuff are void watchers? Or maybe they just like to try out different stuff and the whole icepower thing was just a failed experiment by them.
Frozen Watchers seem to be a blend of the Void pure Watchers and Poros....implications to the Poros is unpleasant.
