Afterlife in lol

I had recent thoughts about how the afterlife works in the League universe. So far, I have thought of this cycle.

First off you die. If Kindred truly is real, she will offer to put you down with her arrows. Accept it or deny it, outcome after is the same.

Next you go to this death realm that Sahn-Uzal (Mordekaiser) went to. I presume that all beings that die come to this realm to "move on" or how Morde likes to say "fade."

After the soul moves on/fades, that particular soul is reincarnated by Nagabourous (possibly the most powerful God in existence, the God of life, growth, and perpetual motion.) So far, this is really just speculation on the cycle of death but however I'll put my reasoning behind this.

  1. This realm that Morde went to is possibly based on Sheol, a dark realm where the souls of beings whether they were good or bad go to.
  2. Many of Illaoi quotes hint towards souls going through reincarnation. I also found out that whenever she performs Test of Spirit, she rips out the many incarnations from throughout their lives.

Prove me wrong or give me your thoughts, I'm open to whatever information you lot have (since my lore knowledge is pretty garbage.)

Morde's realm reminds me more of the Greek Asphodel and I typically refer to it as such.

I would think there are varying afterlives based on beliefs... I think it was Scathlocke who hinted that that might be the case. Certainly a concept worth entertaining; perhaps the people of Lokfar have a sort of Valhalla, and the Buhru go to a place where they prepare to be reborn, for instance.

just to point out, Kindred does not offer a choice. what decides the arrow or wolfs bite is whether you fear death or accept it (if you willingly die for your country, you will get Lamb's arrow, if you go in scared and wanting to live more than anything, then wolf will hunt you down)

In the way I was taught, sheol doesn't refer to an afterlife, just the grave... As in a collective term for the actual dirt and rocks of the Earth in which physical corpses are interred.

Morde's realm seems more like the level of Hellenic Hades where shades roam and drink the waters of Lethe so that they can forget their mortal life in order to be reincarnated or move on to the next phase of the afterlife.

I'm honestly not sure if Kindred is even as real or especially as omnipresent as people talk about.

Mordekaiser's the only POV we have of someone dying and they're surprised to be in the afterlife.
