For those of you asking why Sylas is buff...

https://imgur.com/Lu86HbN These are the reason why. Giant cuffs made of rock. That have been on his arms for 15 years. If you DON'T get buff from having to constantly lift giant rock bracelets for 15 years, something is severely wrong with you.

Another fellow that believes lifting weight is enough for bodybuilding... Nutritions are beyond necessary to gain muscle. A body like this requires at least 3000 calories, which significant part of it must be from proteins.

SirHydro1/10/2019, 5:06:17 PM5 votes

That's not how the body works. Just because he had heavy chain shackles on him for 15 years doesn't make him buff. Without a proper diet and EXERCISE you don't just GROW muscles being STILL. In the same SPOT. NOT MOVING. For 15 years. You're not only wrong....you're smugly wrong. That's not how it works and you shouldn't be trying to fool others into it.

I doubt Demacia is feeding one of their most dangerous prisoners protein shakes all day. Actually, he's be rail thin and would break his arm trying to life those chains (if the tension was released) No, this is just a case of Riot's fantasy team actually living in a real of fantasy berift of logic or common sense.

People are seriously making a fuss about this? With all of the magic, Void, Abyss, Cosmic creatures, Yordles, and walking trees...... You would think this would be the least of their worries when it comes to realism....

You sure you're not trying to defend their lack of thinking during the champion's design process?

  1. Thats not how muscles work.
  2. that’s not how body mass increase works
  3. he’s buff because Riot wanted a buff shirtless guy. Same reason athletic actobatic females are given huge knockers.

Look at Sylas' arms.

His veins are literally pumped full of magic.

Basically, he's taking steroids. Magic steroids.

so all these girls in league can have insanely fit and toned, unrealistic bodies (pertaining to their lore) but as soon as it's a male's body that's unrealistic y'all get pissy?[sg-lux-2]

Where is he getting those kind of nutrients to maintain that kind of body?

You think Demacia gives protein shakes and enough calories to gain weight? No prison overfeeds their inmates. Stop trying to defend blatant over sexualization. I personally don’t mind it but let’s call a spade a spade.

luciferonus1/11/2019, 2:21:24 AM1 votes

maybe "the prison" was in fact some pleasure dungeon, you know some erotic game, after all lux is involved in this. as he would have to be served with rice and chicken daily to look that good.

KFCeytron1/11/2019, 4:18:48 AM1 votes

When you chain someone up in a dungeon for 15 years and starve them until they're driven to eat rats, you don't end up with a bodybuilder sporting a perfect beard and hair. Such forms of imprisonment have actually happened in the real world, and, sadly, the real result of this treatment is a malnourished twig who can barely stand, filthy, unkempt, and probably diseased, if they've been fortunate (or unfortunate) enough to even survive that treatment.

Sylas is proof that Riot has turned into Konami, and they just want to spice up their pachinko machine.

Gotta get more Husbandos into this game, LoL could definitely use some more :)

Stop trying to rationalize it's realism. It makes you look slow. Just point out the obvious. The game isn't realistic and it takes place in a world where ALL KINDS OF MAGIC exists, including the character in question. With magic, nothing can be rationalized. Since it is unexplained, it is left up to the reader's imagination as to why he got buff. Any reason is a viable reason when it is left unexplained. It is good writing to not give every single detail.

Like Star Trek or some other nerdy show for example. When they are flying around in their space ships and they are giving each other orders while flipping random switches all over the place.... Does anyone really question how unrealistic and fake it is? Nope. They suspend their disbelief and believe that those switches are actually serving a meaningful purpose.

The difference between this and the nerdy space crap is that people found something to be outraged about. Don't give in to the outrage. Just let them outrage. I understand that a lot of people feel the need to outrage because this is a double standard for all of the feminists who always cry about female characters' depictions. Both sides of this argument are now outraging irrationally over something stupid and meaningless.

I understand that one side of that argument is being censored while the other side is not.... That is definitely enough merit to earn some outrage. But people need to take their focus off of a single damn video game character and actually talk about the primary issue rather than a tiny symptom of the problem.

How to even raise them to begin with? AKA rught when they were put on your forearms.
