Thoughts of Skins: Kalista

A while back, I made a small discussion series called Candidates For. It was just to discuss about current skin lines and see what champions could fit in for future skins that they could receive, with nearing the end trying to come up with new skin lines.

Since I'm off for summer for a while, I figured I'd start up another series. Thoughts of Skins will be yet another discussion post, maybe weekly, talking about champions and potential skins that they could receive in the future. This is not saying "here are some skins that Riot should make now", it's more "here are some ideas that I would like to see happen when they make a skin for X champ".

With that, let's start off this new series with one champ that hasn't really received a lot of love in the past: Kalista. It's a shame that she in the similar situation of say Azir: an interesting champ that is nerfed and not often played based on her design. I get it, she's not fun to play against with infinite kiting built in her kit, but if you don't count her Esports skin, she's #1 on the list of champs who've gone long past a new skin.

So, I'd figured to start off with her because I feel there could be some cool concepts to be made. Here's a small list of my ideas:

• Arclight - A nice little design that I saw concept for a while back. It's a solid design, matches the feel a bit with this holy, always-watching, judges of the light that would be a nice look to her, outside of the whole corrupted, evil, ghost forms she has.

• Program - A small little thing that could work. Be a bit of an AI corrupted by Jhin or whatever (there in the same universe right?), and goes rogue on a killing spree. Has some potential.

• School Girl - Again, some concept art makes this a really good skin that could happen. It can be a bit goofy with her throwing pencils, yes, but not every skin has to make a champion serious. This could be a lot of fun.

• Corrupt/Fallen Star Guardian - One thing that has always bothered me about the SG series is that we haven't gotten any major villain skins yet, only an event. So, why not start that with someone that would feel natural to that? Gets the power, fails at the job (killed or corrupted) and turns against the other guardians for blame for what happened to her. It would be a good fit and expand the series more than just "oh look, more guardians."

That's all I can think off for now but there are at least a few concepts that could be done. Anyways, what are your thoughts? What concepts do you feel would work for a future skin? Discuss below and I'll be back next week with...idk, Zac? We'll go with Zac.
