I think Aphelios looks like an korean idol
Which is kinda weird because Targonians should be inspired by greeks and greek culture or other european mitology from my last check.
edit: is not a rant thread, just an opinion and a little confusion.

yea, like from some cheap ass chinese lol rip-off games. idk why targons suddenly be so asian. from common sense, people's appearance is related to the region they live, unless human transport or human traffic XD, thus these two might be ionian immigrants. They came to fake sparta for a better life but ends up one dead and one muted

We don't need to limit Targonians to greek culture. Besides, canonically a number of people immigrate to Targon so all sorts of ethnicity live there.
Race doesn't really play much of a role in Runterra imo. I think, it's more about the champion's faction/ethnicity. While the ethnicity mirrors real life cultures and traditions while race isn't really a huge indication of it. For example in Ionia you can easily tell it's based off of asian culture, but many of the champions from Ionia aren't asian or their race is left ambiguous.
Well luckily enough for you, Targon is a fictional place :D
Fiora has a french accent yet the other Demacians have american accents.
There is also fish people and yordles.
Zoe is related to Mount Targon and she is more or less similar to a Disney character. So they can be a lot of things really.
