@Riot, Honestly, can/should we help you with things like these?

So, new Roadmap hit today. Great, Been looking forward for a new Bilgewater champion and the Aatrox rework.

But it's always a time of players also stating their discontent over X champion not being on the rework list or ranting on how Y shouldn't have been picked over Z.

Which makes me wonder, does the player base have any actual impact on you guys choosing the next champion to give a VGU? If so, are there ways for us, as a community to help you out in the time leading up to a rework and during the process?

What I'm asking is if there's any use in us giving feedback on champions that have been deemed tier 1 VGU priority and if our efforts at giving you ideas and a better understanding what us, the players, love about 'em is actually something you value.

I think in hindsight I'm just grasping at straws here and asking myself if I'm just bothering people at this point when I constantly talk about Mordekaiser or if there's actual value to me doing so.

Anyways, just wanted to see what the overall consensus is here.

Also, guess I can take this opportunity to just post the rest of my Morde art I did last week. https://i.imgur.com/CquZ3nC.jpg

It's more of a combination of priority and whether or not a Rioter has a sound concept for a VGU.

It wouldn't make sense to slate, say, Quinn for a VGU when the Champion team has no idea what they want to do with her. At the same time, they might have a really solid concept for a Rammus VGU that they're ready/almost ready to put into production.

Overall I think feedback like this is most likely helping to give riot the correct idea into which direction they should take the character, even if riot will obviously not just straight up use the ideas of the community.

I think it can help Riot see what sort of themes should be kept, but I think that at the end of the day if the fans are clamoring for something that Riot just doesn't feel can work in the game, that choice takes priority. It's good that people are trying to help Riot, but I think it can also feed into some of that discontent. It's perfectly understandable that there are aspects that people want on the champs, but the more people call for stuff and talk about what the rework is certain to be like, especially with champs that have a ton of unnecessary themes like Swain, the more people will be let down whenever the rework is revealed.

Basically, you shouldn't stop calling attention to the Morde problem, I think, but also be aware that Riot is likely having a hard time trying to get all the themes that people like about Morde into a cohesive champ, and it's very likely that people will still be unhappy because some things will have to be lost. Also you shouldn't stop because it would be weird to not see your Mordekaiser rework posts.

Consideration by Riot aside, I love seeing people post visual and lore ideas about their favorite champions. I say keep up the good work.

I'm with you on this, it's frustrating to share ideas on the boards for a character we care about and rarely (if ever) see Rioter feedback about it.

Well, I personally wanted to see a new Juggernaut/Fighter, since the most recent Juggernaut (To the best of my recollection, anyways) was the Urgot rework, and the newest (Not VGU) was Camille . Correct me if I'm wrong, but those are the most recent additions we've had to the Fighter rosters for each subclass (Urgot for Juggernauts and Camille for Divers). Oh well, I'll just have to wait till the next Roadmap.

By the look of the preview image, this dark-themed Bilgewater support currently gives off Nautilus -style vibes to me. Now that could change as we learn more about him or her or it, whatever this new being will turn out to be.

Also, aside from some info about the Akali and Nunu reworks, there wasn't (Might have to re-read the Roadmap just to be sure) any hints towards who might be next in consideration after the Akali and Nunu reworks release, whenever that will be in the future.
