We did just get a three part story and it was well written, but this was RIvens story, Yasuo felt like a side character at best. Sure he found out what happened to the elder, but for his only real apparence being at the end of a three part event which focused on Riven heavily, I felt him being vastly unimportant and he could have easily been left out of the story.
Doubt this will happen.
Sure he turned out to be more of a side character in this lore piece,but that is still more than what most other champs get.
I mean just look at 
(or pretty much every bandle city yordle) for example.
His lore is completely outdated and his whole faction is essentially a big mystery at this point and he never appeared in any lore material that is still treated as canon(unless the mechs-vs-minion thing is canon,which I doubt).
And there are lots of champs like that 
etc.
For real. Yasuo has been relegated to a side character in the stories of other people and I really want something that's for him rather than something he happens to appear in as some sort of mentor. He's just lost his whole need to prove himself innocent in a rather unsatisfactory way. What will he do now that he has all these deaths under his belt for a goal that he will never realize? For a criminal who he never brought in and was decreed innocent for a crime for which he was sentenced to death? Why did he seem to forgive her like it was nothing (regardless of how torn she looked?)
What's his side? I don't care if he ever forgives himself or fully recovers from his self-loathing. But I want something, somebody to chip away at that distant exterior he's help up even for a time. He's got vulnerability in him behind his shell and he's never shown any of himself. aside from like.. a briefly pained expression in this story.
That aside, the story was fantastic and I liked it a lot.
Agreed. Neither this one nor "The Bird and the Branch" (by the same author) have let us into his head.
On the other hand, there are so many other champions who could use exploration. I, for one, would love to see Nami finally get that darn Moonstone.
