Flaw in Jihns Model

I understand that his shoulder is where he attaches his gun to create his rocket for his ultimate ability. But why on earth does it have to be so big? It would look way better and function just the same if it was about half the size. If it went from shoulder to even with the top of his ear it wouldn't look so off putting. @Riot with any input on why they decided to make it tower over his head?
