New Pantheon should have a shield strap for his forearm

Pantheon is clearly based off of Greek Hoplites (foot soldiers who wield a large shield and spear, and fought in a phalanx)

Hoplites take their name from a Hoplon (also known as an Aspis), which is the large round shield. That shield had a center grip, like the one clearly shown here https://youtu.be/9Zub8agQjrw?t=105 on new pantheons splash art.

The thing is for Panth to use said shield the way he does, in a similar manner to how a Hoplite used it, where it appears attached parallel to his fore-arm and can be used for a shield smash along the edge of the shield for maximum damage, he would need to have a strap near his elbow to anchor the shield, again similar to what was used by the Hoplite. Otherwise it is simply an enormous unwieldly buckler

New Panth looks great though, can't wait to see him take to summoners Rift in his panoply of war. Congrats to the VGU team, keep up the great work
