About Miss Fortune's nature as a character...

For some reason, everytime a discussion is had in this forum about as a character, the matter almost everyone ends talking about seems to be her sex appeal.

First, my position. I agree her game model and lines are too sexualized for a character that has grown a lot in the last years. Her lines should be more than pandering to the male audience, and her animations are outdated, and nothing more than that: pandering. So they should change with the lines. However...

It seems everytime there is had a discussion about what Riot should do with her, or how we as fans interpret her, we seem to divide in two sides: -The ones that think she should grow completly out of her "sexy doll" status, and have her being only a badass, sarcastic and cunning bounty hunter, that ocassionally uses flirting to get under men's skins. Doing any other way would be not taking her character serious. -The ones that think her sex appeal is still half of her charm as a character, and that because of her sexy nature, can't think of her but as a very sexual character by itself. Fullfilling the role of a "pirate rogue", in the case of men characters, this kind of trope let's guide himself for every pleasure they want, while also being smart, dangerous and cunning. And she, as a female character, should not grow out completly of her sexy nature. They see her as a very sexual woman, a kind of female James Bond with a weakness for men, that not only uses flirting as a tool of manipulation, but because she enjoys sex.

I have to say, that before Burning Tides, I had no interest in her. Because I don't play ADC, and because she seemed a very boring eye candy. But after that, her character grow, accompanied by the fact that she still looked like nothing more than a "sex doll" ingame, made me grow some kind of prejudice about her character, and made me impossible not to think of her as badass but very sexual female. Because, I mean, sexyness is all over her design still. And needs to be tonned down considerately, but I'm the opinion of that even if it should have a minor role in it's development, should still be there.

So, this question is more about purely lore and story, and less about her voice lines and game appereance, because we already had a discussion for that. What I wanted to ask is:
