I'm very confused with Lissandra's lore update

Had some time to read up on Liss' new lore but didn't have time to post my thoughts about it. Today though, I want to get it out of the way.

So for anyone who hasn't read it or the various other boards talking about it, Lissandra's new lore is...confusing. First off, she makes a deal with the Watchers, who are now basically confirmed to be from the Void, but...then later ends up betraying them?

Afterwards she knows that the ice she traps the Watchers in isn't enough and venerates (regard with great respect, revere) her sisters and herself but what she ends up doing instead is rewriting history so this shit never happened at all and kill off any who called themselves reincarnations of her sisters, which she fails at considering Ashe and Sej. Because she still doesn't want them around and wants the rule all for herself and keep tribes divided?

So, to put everything retconned and the new story into a bulletlist:

• Lissandra was the one that gave all her sister's powers, not all of them agreeing to the Watchers' deal
• There was no rebellion against the Watchers and Liss, Liss just betrayed all of them in one swoop
• Liss doesn't want the Watchers to return, when before she was working towards it
• She doesn't try to hide herself as ruler after all these years by manipulating and replacing other leaders over the years
• She wants to gather as many Iceborn as possible to help defend against the Watchers when the time comes, but still wants to keep the tribes apart and wants to kill anyone to her sisters legacy to avoid the horrible truth of history, even though it's still told about in stories and songs and before I just mentioned she wanted to venerate them.

Just...what is she suppose to be? A hero, an anti-hero, a villain still, it's not making sense. There's so much trying to be put in here that I don't know what her clear motive is anymore. Before it was simple: gain power through these new masters (who were not part of the Void or Void-related like everything nowadays), go through history changing it while also making sure you're not caught, and try to work up for their return so you can help them rule the Freljord. A simple villain that was good at manipulating history and had the power to hurl ice at you. That's what Lissandra was to me.

Now, Riot is trying to make her more heroic or sympathetic with her actions since she realized that the Watchers want to destroy everything, but they still want her to be villain-like with her killing people and altering history, while also still wanting to rule. Is she suppose to be a lesser evil that we have to deal with over the Watchers/Void? If so, it's not that well written.

On top of this, her VO, her intro video and HA monologue (which no longer plays) that people have pointed out, completely go against her new motives and stance now. Her quote "the Watchers will return" doesn't really have that impact of fear and worry that Riot may be going for as before it was what she wanted. This is literally the same thing with other champ VO's that Riot has retconned stories to like Blitz.

Now, I'm not fully against the idea of Lissandra wanting to betray everyone for power, even the Watchers. But I do feel like if this is the route Riot wants to go, they need to go back an rewrite it. Make it so she still is a villain and doesn't have a lot of remorse. Make it so she still has that "plans within plans" feel, like she planned on the Watchers breaking through and her sisters fighting and then she decided to trap/kill them. Bring back the reasoning for her to alter history from her sisters without the venerate part, bring back the manipulation of rulers to replace every few decades or so. Really focus her as someone who just wants to manipulate people for her own goals and powers.

Most of these lore updates I've been fine so far but this is feeling like the situation that Karma had and needs to be tweaked a bit.
