Possible future skin bio groupings

More and more skins are being assimilated into new and interesting alternate universes There are still a lot of skins without bios and are not part of a shared universe but by looking which skins share common or similar themes it wouldn't be too hard to imagine that these skins could be part of the same universe.

Hello! Skins writer here.

These are awesome! Allow me to shed a little light on your groupings and where they currently stand:

  • The Death Blossom/Elderwood skins are extremely popular internally as flavor for new and existing high fantasy universes, so there's a bit of a battle to see where they ultimately end up. People really love these skins.
  • The Medieval and Feudal Japan skins are also interesting -- we haven't talked about them much yet, but they could (keyword could) have a lot of potential going forward. They could also end up as their own skinlines without universes -- I'm not sure quite yet.
  • Demon Realm is extremely awesome and I can't wait to write the descriptions for that skinset (we probably won't call it Demon Realm, but it'll likely involve demons and/or fire).
  • The potential list for Deep Sea skins is even longer than the one you posted, but it's likely we won't get around to it for a few more patches. It's definitely on our radar.
  • Wild West exists as High Noon.
  • Hospital/Arabian will probably end up as skinlines without universes, unless something drastically changes or they get a Legendary (or they already have a legendary in them and I don't know it yet).

As I understand it, a skinline won't become a Universe unless it's really popular or has a Legendary+ tier skin already in it.

EDIT: Just saw Elemental Lords! Not sure about those guys. I'll tackle them when they show up on my docket.

I don't think they can add Sabretusk Sejuani to Prehistoric, since Beast Hunter is already there. Although that kind of wracks my brain...

I want to point out that Little Devil Teemo is related to Bewitching Morgana Tristana ! They were the ones who summoned him.

I totally thought Sand Wraith Pyke looked like a Guardian of the Sand, so I REALLY agree with that one.

Put Dino Gnar in Toy Box theme.

Dragon Knight Mordekaiser in Dragon World theme.

Emerald Taric in Elderwood / Enchanted Forest theme.

your wild west is currently labled high noon in the skin bio but has all those skins and I think you should add lord mordekaiser (basically thunder lord) to your elemental lord skin set. All in all nice list

A couple comments:

  1. Sandstorm are, I believe, the same universe as Djinn, which may or may not ALSO be the same universe as Guardians of the Sands. On the other hand, I'm pretty sure Sultan are not part of that universe (or at least, were not intended to be at time of release).

  2. Bewitching Morgana / Tristana (and Nidalee?) are the same universe as Lil' Devil Teemo. I'm not sure they are the same as the other Infernal/Demon you listed, their art-style is pretty different, but it sounds like a reasonable grouping.

Frost Queen Janna could qualify for the Elemental Lords skins, or they could out her in the pre existing Winterland skin line.

Grey Warwick would probably fit with the medieval skins - after the rework the flavor of that skin is very much in sync with that skin line.
