So How 'Bout That New Skinline?
Looks like our lineup is Lux, Lux but Gold, Ezreal, Graves, Katarina, and Jayce.
Not gonna lie, I kind of like some of the outfits. Wish we'd gotten different champs, though. What do you guys think?

Appearance-wise, they look good. Love the concept and the aesthetic. Not a fan of the champions they chose.
Neither Lux nor Ezreal needed another skin. Xayah & Rakan, Taliyah, Varus, Brand, Janna, Taric, and Zyra could have easily been in this skinline as students and wouldn't have looked out of place at all.
Graves seems out of place as the professor type. IMO, this could have been Jhin's legendary, but I won't be disappointed unless he isn't a Star Guardian either. Singed, Master Yi, Shen, Ryze, Viktor, or Camille would have also been great choices as a teacher.
They could have easily made Ivern into the hippy-dippy magic guidance counselor instead of Dunkmaster.
It's cool but it's becoming harder to identify the champions. When I started, even as a brand new player I only got mixed up by Warring Kingdoms J4 and Xin Zhao. Now, even as a veteran with knowledge of every skin and champion in the game, there are more and more that are confusing in their splash art or in-game until they use an ability.

Simply, it's a cash grab. It's pretty well played by Riot.
Give Ez the legendary.
Give Lux the prestige.
Rake in shit tons of money.
I like the way they look and will probably get Graves and Yuumi. I think it could've made a bigger splash with a wider variety of characters though. Lux and Ez already have cool ultimate and anime skins already which sort of deflates the value of these ones. I would've liked to see Taliyah, Neeko, Karma, etc. for sorcery and basically any other ADC for battle.
Overall a cool line though. Yuumi's skin is probably the best launch skin in a long time and they all look super cool.
I like the idea of it and they look out but the theme is tired. There have been a lot of "school" out fits recently and that's kind of exhausting. Not to mention, I am really disappointed that Ezreal and Lux are getting skins again. At least Jayce is getting on; it has been a while for him. And the backing animation for Yuumi's is really cute.
Was hyped for Jayce when it got leaked, even if I hate the champ. Why? Because I thought it meant getting a Viktor skin as a teacher, rival or something. My expectations were miles away from Riot's greed, it seems. Really hope they'll quickly consider expending it with champs who need actual skins
I’m appalled they left out Ahri. She too deserves another skin. (I’m joking)
But in all seriousness this is starting to get ridiculous. So many champs to choose from and riot only goes with popular ones. Oh and Yuumi. I guess.

Most of the champs in this skinline I don't even play.
, the only champ here I do play often, I already got Star Guardian & Elementalist. So I have no real desire to get this skin ASAP. I might get it one day because I'm still an anime guy.
Now, Yuumi is up in the air of course.
So the skins themselves don't really resonate with me.

That said, I'm interested in the skinline's thematic. "Battle" is in the title & it's based on battle shonen Boku no Hero Academia, so what are they fighting? What's the antagonists of this skinline? Is this going to be Star Guardian all over again with no real antagonistic force for the to battle?
Will there be some extra content like a comic or cinematic released along with these skins?
Presume they chose champs who have weapons, then Yuumi as, well, a cat. They look great but still I hope those champs in dire need of a skin get worthwhile ones.

I don't like the Academia line in general because the skins are too dark/dull and boring.........however I'll probably love the lux prestige one since it'll be bright and sparkly + ponytail! :D (and here's where i get thumbs down because god forbid we like/get anything cute in the LoL community.)
I like the aesthetic, but I wished the picked different champion. I'm happy that

again? I was thinking of what other champions they could have picked, that have "guns and sword" as their main weapons, 
or even

I was hoping on my birthday (May 15) when those skins will launch on the live server, to be a skin on champion I play regularly. I play Lux sometimes, I legit last week bought a skin for her, don't need another one. I guess I'll buy an old skin then...
I agree that a majority of the champs selected for this skinline were.. not the best choices. I feel like the real problem is that Ezreal got ANOTHER legendary/ultimate/higher tier skin, and Lux technically got two in one go with one of them being prestige.
Kind of annoyed that Graves gets another skin when there are champions who better fit the professor role and whom haven't had a new skin in a VERY long time (
, even if he's confirmed to be getting a skin this year, they literally passed him up on a professor skin) when he got Praetorian almost half a year ago.
Don't get me wrong, the theme of the skinline is really well done. But the two main foci of the skin line are champions that legit just got new skins in late 2018 (yes, Pajama Guardians are a version of the star guardians, but they're still technically a separate skinline).
Heck, Ezreal legit has a voice line where he's surprised to see a star guardian, when he's in that skinline himself.
(For the people who are disappointed for no Jhin skin, fear not. This means that something like Dark Star Jhin is still on the table)
I thought how recently champions got skins and diversity in skin pool were a couple of the factors they accounted for when deciding what skins to do. While I agree that Lux and Ez don't need anymore skins, I thought their next one would be dark. One of the complaints before with Lux's skins was that a lot of them were military themed, which is why people were happy when she finally got Star Guardian. But now it looks like they're just going to keep giving her anime skins. Similarly the only remotely dark skin Ez has is Ace of Spades, which only looks so because of Shaco imo.
I don't really mind the other champions they chose, but I liked the idea of choosing Vel'koz as an Assassination Classroom reference, especially since they did chromas, but I know Riot moved away from close references to other things years ago. I also agree with the sentiment that Graves being here is kind of an "I guess?".
I also don't like the one-arm-in-the-jacket-one-arm-out on Jayce.
Having said that, Yuumi's recall animation is great.
Who the fuck is the target audience?
I like both the lineup and the outfits. Jayce is a great look. I love Lux's looks too, she's adorable. I'm excited for this skin line and the prospects it has for the future.

Ok so battle acadamia mordekaiser and hes stereotypical anime school punk and his helmet kinda resembles a skull mask for the face part and a pompadour for the horns part. Could also be trundle.

What's YOUR point in jumping into an ending conversation and trying to prolong it with an argument??? You do know there's a ton more skins to come this year, right? Morgana's rework just happened, you have no idea if in 2-6 weeks they will indeed give Morgana one too.
Like you people who think everyone has to agree with you trip me out. It's my opinion that others could get new skins b4 Morgana, others don't agree and have said so already - leave it at that. To be quite honest I don't care if they give her one or not, that's not even what I was saying. I like Morg and for selfish reasons would dig a new skin for her.
