Riot clearly would not be buffing him like this if he was being worked on by champion team, so for all Nunu players out there, 1 more year of waiting AT LEAST...

Nunu is very likely for a VGU this year simply because he is relatively popular. Don't lose hope!
I wouldn't say that he is unlikely for the year. Riot has currently only 3 VGUs in the works,2 are Swain and Irelia and I think the last one was confirmed to be a top laner/jungler,so Nunu would likely not count as that. So Nunu could still be in the 2nd half of the VGUs this year.
That being said,a leak implies that Nunu will get a skin soon,which would really make it unlikely for him to get a VGU this year.
this is sad... this is very sad :( Maybe i'll be able to graduate first before i could see his initial VGU live. 1/2 years left before college graduation.
