Can we all agree that the Darkin are the main antagonists of league of legends?

Darkin

so they not only outclass the void as a threat (due to the watchers being trapped in the howling abyss) but they were also stationed all around runeterra Varus was in ionia Rhaast was in noxus Aatrox was likely in the freljord due to him being the darkin personification of war and the frelijord being in a civil war (also there is Tryndameres lore) so the remaining locations could be (one of these will not be used)

  1. the shadow isle
  2. Shurima
  3. Demacia's Petricite forest

if they fill all the roles then the darkin will be the ideal main antagonists

so they not only outclass the void as a threat (due to the watchers being trapped in the howling abyss)...

How do they outclass the Void?

The Watchers are overseers: agents of a higher power. I highly doubt that all of them are on Runeterra and trapped within the Howling Abyss. Even if it's so, the Void's greatest power is its ability to evolve; inevitably, the Void will find a replacement for the Watchers.

Besides, it isn't as if every Voidborn is primitive and needs to be directly controlled to fulfill its purpose.

I don't think five Darkin can overpower legions of Voidspawn and their master.

Shadow Isles is a bigger threat IMO. Its magic can overwhelm even ascended and voidborns according to Riot. I think darkins are not exceptions.

It also grows like the Void. More it consumes, stronger it is.

I can change my mind though. We still don't have Aatrox bio. Maybe darkins are stronger than I expect.

There are no real antagonist or Protagonist in LoL. It's all about who you ask really. Demacia will say the enemy is Noxus, Targon will say the enemy is the Void and so on.

No, the Void are.

On the contrary, it might be the Void, and in turn the Frozen Watchers.

The Void is the most dangerous and hated of all the evil forces in Runeterra, even the Darkin are stated to hate and fight off the void at some point alongside Targon, due to how the Void is literally a force capable of removing everything from existence.

On the other hand, it's stated that the Watchers had some hand in the Void's arrival in Runeterra, calling them their 'masters,' so perhaps the Frozen Watchers are League's 'final bosses' if we ever get to learn more about them?

I like this idea

They are just 5 random dudes, that is nothing in comparison with the undeads and the void.

Also for those of you claiming I am ignoring the void, I love the void just as much ad the next guy(just look at my icon) but I think that the void needs more time to become the biggest threat it can. The darkin don't need that time, all they need is to find each other and then they will be unstoppable.

Hey, ever watched Necrit's remaining 5 Darkin theory? Well this should cover a lot of what you're thinking. He didn't mention anything about the Demacian forest, which I think is a nice touch, and it would make sense as that is where all the magic-nulling trees are. (I think) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m0vISzPocRI is the video.

Varus rework confirmed! A Rioter on the Aatrox AMA reddit post stated

WAAAARGHbobo • 2h I worked with Ramon to find an accent for Aatrox that felt ancient but rare enough to be difficult to place. (no he's not doing russian btw--to easy). This felt right for an ancient cultured being and lent some mystery to him. Hopefully when Varus eventually gets reworked that is considered. 3.1 He taught himself how to do this. But he was very, very powerful before he was trapped. We discussed this as a possible connection to Vlad-- and made sure to future proof it so it "could work" BUT this is ultimately a decision to be made by the team that reworks Vlad or uses Vlad in a major product (Not there is one at this time).

Honestly unsure. Ultimately Kindred is a spirit god (As opposed to a celestial) So Kindred probably felt he was an abomination-- even before Aatrox was a darkin. 6.1 So Aatrox doesn't want to kill everyone. He wants to End everything. So he wants to end the cycle of death and rebirth, and reduce the world to pure nothingness. It's not a good plan or an easy one-- but it's the only hope he has left.

I think.... league's story is absurd and full of plotholes... constantly changing in ways that make MORE plotholes... and unlikely to ever reach anything resembling a "final battle"... let alone an actual conclusion to the "story". I mean, there isn't an overall story... just a bunch of disconnected things that... happen.

So ultimately I guess I just don't see the point of rating the villains of the game. There's no real story to follow here.
