Do the Star Guardian colors mean anything?

I ask because both Soraka and Lulu share the green color and seem to be the most kind hearted of the group (though Lulu is a bit more of a genkigirl).

Like, to the colors signify their positions within their respective team? With pink/orange being the leader?
