Championship Riven and a unfortunate event, hoping for riot to notice

I've been holding onto this one for a while, but I think it needs to be said. I own the OG championship riven skin, and when the chroma came out a while back, I purchased the pass and started grinding away at the points. After finally getting the points I needed to get the chroma, I got it, as well as all the flare...

This is when I found out that it only works with the cheap knock off championship Riven.. I hate complaining, but it sucks having to pick between my super rare skin, and the chroma. Surely it can't be that hard to enable the chroma for both, and I can't be the only one bothered by this.. It feels like a gut punch to the oldest fans to not allow the chroma for both...

I know I'm just one voice in a very loud room, but I felt like I had to say something.. It shouldn't matter that much, but it bothers me a ton. I don't even like playing riven anymore because of it. I just feel bad every time I see the lack of a chroma for it.. I get that league is a business first and a game second, but hopefully something like this wouldn't take too much time, and would really make me, and probably like 5 other people happy.
