Riot - You are starting a bad trend with Camille.

Camille was intended to be your pass at a female champion who was much older, but retained some of her youthful nature because of her augmentation. As such, the only real thing we had indicating that she's an older woman is her gray hair. You even made a very large point about telling us that she was actually 80 years old in the QA about her.

So I've noticed now that every single one of her skins, including the upcoming Invictus Gaming skin, does away with her gray hair. It's kind of counterproductive to who she is as a character to me if you're going to remove all of the elements that supposedly convey her age to us. If you wanted to have made Camille a 20 something young girl, you should have done it. Don't sell us that she's an older, wise woman, only to have all of her skins sell us a brazen young girl with no sense of humor.

"All her other skins do away with her grey hair" shows a robot and a pans labyrinth

I'm pretty sure skins are made to present a character in a different fantasy, so if that fantasy involves Camille without grey hair, then it's fine

Skins are not lore.

Skins SPECIFICALLY do things differently than lore, because there are technically no real limits on what they can be.

She's a cyborg and we don't really know what is human on her, its entirely possible for her to just be wearing a wig or artifical hair of some kind.

Considering she can remake her body, I doubt she'd let herself show her age if she could restore her youth (imagine camille walking around bald at age 200 when she could give herself hair lol)

  • program doesn't matter
  • coven she is a witch, so you could argue she's either restoring her youth or ages very slowly (say she could live 1000 years as a witch, 80 years wouldn't seem like much of an aging. Look at bayonetta, hell Elise is suppose to be really old but got black magic keeping her youth.)
  • IG (possible wig, artificial hair, could just be a request to be younger by IG's jungler to better represent him)

This is entirely feasible to see them do with camille.

Skins are a way for them to move away from the original theme in order to try to reach out to players who might not play her because they don't like the original theme.

but wat do I kno

Imagine being upset about how a character in a game doesn't look the right age. No wonder why riot doesn't listen to their community 😂

This is pretty stupid over all. If camille were turned into a 4 legged octopus creature from lovecraftian lore that wouldnt matter. But if you change her hair WOAH BOY YOU BETTER GRAB YOUR TORCH AND PITCH FORK.

Skins are meant to change something about the champion (at least one thing) and that thing (or things) can be a small change from a color swap to a big change like a model overhaul.

Kog maw going from a caustic void creature to a pug that spits. Yeah, totally cool and okay. But NO to non gray hair!.

Stupid.

You made an entire thread complaining about her hair color in skins..... Riven gray hair doesn't always mean you're old. In fact... They live in an advanced society if she wanted to cosplay she could just get her hair dyed.

GreasyFragriso4/3/2019, 11:10:30 PM6 votes

Meh. If you actually look at her face (besides Program of course) she still looks like a grandma. Newsflash: old people can dye their hair. Stop being a baby lmao.

There's a reason why they're called "skins". Not everyone is bound to like that because of lore and such, but skins are meant to be an "alternate universe".

No, this is kind of ridiculous, and just grasping at straws to point out more flaws about Riot. You can say her release skin counts, but it really doesn't. Yes it gets rid of her grey hair, but she has no hair and IS A ROBOT. Ageless. So her being a robot inst portraying her as a young girl, its portraying her as.... a robot. Her new skin doesn't count either since riot had nothing to do with how that skin looks, or the fact that camille got it at all. It was chosen by one of the members of the winning teams' members, and so were the looks, such as the whole blonde hair theme. The only skin that matches what you're saying is Coven Camille, fair enough, but that leaves us with one skin. So no, Riot Isn't falling into a trend with Camille. Good day to you sir.

I personally don't see a problem in skins with different coloured hair. It would really suck to have it limited to only grey when skins are supposed so represent a different idea. The majority of champions don't have the same hair in their skins despite their biology. Evelynn, for example, is about a billion years old yet there isn't even a wrinkle on her. Yes, she's a succubus, but Camille is a cyborg. There is no need to keep her so limited in order to show her age. This is my opinion don't scream.
