Poppy is a magical creature..... in Demacia???? (any one who can explain this please feel free)

Demacia, as most people know, really hates magic, so aside from Shyvana, who has special privilege from Jarvan the fourth, how does get inside of Demacia??? Aside from people trained to root out magic, as we see in 's story, we never hear that Poppy uses a glamour, while it is hinted all yordles have it, in "Paint the town" its shown that Heimer supposedly created the glamour which is why he had that talk with Ziggs, and also that certain people can see THROUGH the glamour, not to mention Poppy's personality trait to see the good in all things and not likely going to consider the consequence of being a magical entity inside of Demacia of all places.... If you can offer some insight that isnt "PLOT ARMOR" I'd be glad to know [poppy-wink]

We DO see her using a glamour, though. In her short story where she's looking for the hero, a young girl sees her and says "Look, Dad! That's the hero" or something like that. Then the father turns around and says, "No, that can't be the hero. Too short by half." (I don't remember the exact thing but this is close enough).

So she is indeed using a natural Yordle glamour, the kind that Kled has, the one that's variable depending on the person looking at her.

Actually in one of her lore pieces she sees a statue of herself and doesn't recgnize that it is supposed to represent her.

Back when it was released people just assumed that Poppy was too naive to recognize herself,but now I think it is likely that this was likely due to her glamour. So the demacians simply see a small girl/woman instead of Poppy.

Well she saved an entire Demacian village as well slayed a shit ton of monsters hounding Demcia, why would anyone bother her?

Petricite weakens magic. It doesn't exactly sap it all away and nullify it though...

Most of poppy's skills are physical and in the loading screen, it says "its hard for humans to recognize a yordels true form." Which likely implies that they aren't actually controlling it and it's just that humans are closed minded.

Maybe Jinx can see it, because shes crazy though. Just a thought.

Glamour is a unconscious thing, Ziggs and Hiemer just need something special due to all the other errant magic fields being emanated from so many sources that it counter acts their own glamour

If all Yordles have it and use it, why should Poppy be any different? It doesn't need to be specifically mentioned if it is an innate thing.

Heimerdinger specifically says that he conjured the charm and not that he invented it. Since Ziggs changes appearence without Heimerdingers help it does seem to only need to be conjured once to keep working.

True psychopaths like Jinx and prophets of old gods like Illaoi aren't exactly people you meet on Demacias street. For most people yordles look like normal humans.

Yet her glamour shows no signs of being weakened, because her lore hasn't been updated yet to the new Demacian lore, all the Yordles who don't live in Bandle needs lore update.

What's ironic is Poppy helped build Demacia, shouldn't the anti-magic material used should be revealing her? Also Poppy revealed herself to Orlon, so Yordles can turn off the Glamour at will.

This is the reason why the new Yordle Lore is terrible, it's full of contradictions, I hope Riot will finally realize that it's unstable and badly executed. Magical fey creatures who uses magic for everything(Why are most of them using technology, science or primitive weapons?) and has no structure or order(Somehow have enough to run a Militia and a City), Riot should stop trying to force it to work because it gets worse every time(Ziggs&Jinx comic) and just revert it.

Carrying around the hammer searching for the hero to wield it, she has been traveling through the land even before it was called Demacia, killing monsters here and there on the way.

She might even have been there when it was founded.

What is magical about her, anyway?
