Question about some Vastayan

Some avian and aquatic species such as chickens, ducks, whales, and dolphins have something known as unihemispheric sleep. Which means they can sleep with half of their brain and the other half remains awake. This is so they can keep one eye open for predators, and aquatic animals can keep surfacing for air.

Can Xayah, Rakan, Fizz, and Nami do this?

I just want to mention that, Fizz is not a Vastaya, Fizz is a Yordle now.

I seriously doubt Nami and the other Marai need air to breathe, and the Lhotlan don't actually fly. So that eliminates a lot of the evolutionary need to have such an ability.

This would actually be kind of a cool mechanic to implement in a future Vastayan champ. Like maybe they "doze off" to replenish mana & hp. And while "dozed off" maybe they're slow, abilities are on lock down, immobile, any of that kind of stuff.

Also I am always up for any race specific biological descriptions, stuff like that enriches the lore.

Nami is unlikely. Xayah and Rakan, possibly. As someone mentioned earlier in the comments, Fizz isn't a Vastaya.

Honestly? I think Rengar would be the kind of guy to do that, even if he has just tiger traits. You always have to be alert when you're on the hunt.

Yeah why do Rakan and Xayah have giant bunny ears when they're bird people?
