Why more Bird Champs
When we're missing obvious animals in our champ selection. Honestly, not one turtle champ in a field with what, 7 bird champs? Come on riot, we need more tanks anyway.

They aren't bird though, they're half species, like Harpies or something. Plus, we don't have a lot of bird champs as is. I'd say the only qualifiers are

technically counts, but he's not really a bird, he's more like a god-on-earth imaged after Horus. His game play involves no actual birds.

we have two fish two cats one rat one toad two dogs one cow one monkey one turtle and one man/bear/pig thing. i think the animal kingdom has quite alot of varied representation.
Well birds are quite the large group.I mean if you complain about there being too many birds,then you can just as well complain about the fact that there are too many mammals 
+ basically every human champion,since humans are mammals as well!
And in general they never use the bird thematic without a reason.

is a scarecrow and those are related to birds

is a warlock and those use very often ravens or crows their familiars
has a bird theme(likely because of the irony of giving an earth mage a bird theme),but isn't a bird
And Xayah is pretty much meant to be Leagues harpy,wheras Rakan is likely a bird because that fits better with Xayah(one could also argue that he is actually a male siren,given that he is known to collect songs in the lore and that sirens were originally birdwomen and not mermaids)
Meanwhile turtles for example are just a subgroup of the repitiles and they are rarely present in mythologies(and the myths that do have turtles aren't very popular)

7? How'd you get 7? Aniv, Quinn, Swain & Azir - you could argue Talon but any bird-characteristic is in name only. And Rakan & Xayah weren't out yet when you posted this.
