I mean look at it.
The way her eyes reflect no light. The way the shades darken her expression and the overall anger in her look.
She looks much more like a hate-consumed madwoman than a Spiritual protector of Ionia.
Maybe it's just my personal taste, but the way she looks so demonic compared to what she's supposted to be really irks me.
It's because of the light, her dark skin and the low resolution of the photo. Zoomed in like that I can't even see her pupils. But if you look at her in the cinematic she looks totally normal (and wayyyyy better than on the splash art).
Fun Fact: Bruce Banner is the most peaceful character in the Marvel universe. Why? Because he's mastered his anger to the point of pure emotional zen.
Karma isn't some sort of holier-than-though angel. She's balance. She has as much anger as you'd expect from someone who's in charge of maintaining peace within a land ravaged by foreign invaders.

The cinematics have trouble with faces sometimes, if you look at Yasuo's face in The Climb and Awaken, they're both different, except Awaken gets it right. In The Climb, Yasuo seems to have a much slimmer body type than he is portrayed in his splash art Irelia seems to also have this problem since in Awaken, her face is way more wider and longer in comparison to her Splash Art, Irelia's body was also slimmed down in the cinematic.

This version of Karma looks like some hate stricken heroine from a B-grade bollywood movie who is out to get revenge for her fallen husband.
She looks NOTHING like the ingame Karma. The same goes for Irelia.
I think her face was taken from the middle of a huge battle (since the login is based off the cinimatic we just got), so that's a face of focus and yeah probably a little bit of anger. That's my take on it. Karma is still a human, those are emotions you might show in the middle of a battle. Also kinda fits her after the lore changes. She doesn't look like a demon at all to me and her eyes probably only glow when she's casting abilities and the scene this is taken from she was standing still so yeah. I'm not a fan of lots of eye shadow either but calling someone a demon is a little MEAN.
