We Need More Lore Events in the League
I've been a big fan of League of Legends, starting way back in Season 2 when I first started playing and fell in love with the game. I've seen a lot of fantastic and exciting new things come and go, from the Runes and Mastery systems' reworks to every Ryze rework to the way monsters and jungling works, the whole nine thousand yards. The events bring on different small stories and phenomenal game modes to play with your friends, along with new challenges tied in to earn exclusive rewards and I think this is a great way to keep the game constantly changing and show that you are constantly looking to ensure that we in the community are having as much fun as we can. That said, I personally feel that there should be more events tied into the lore of League of Legends. I know that the champion stories are constantly being updated but I feel that this would make the game feel more alive than it does now. I have enjoyed every event that has come and gone, and I have to say that my favorite is easily The Burning Tides event. All of the events such as the Odyssey event, Project events and the VS event, etc. have been tons of fun and brought along incredibly well designed skins and accessories, but the stories for them are small and don't really connect to the actual lore of the champions or the League of Legends in any way. The Burning Tides event was the first and only of it's kind, to go so far as to even "kill" off a champion, even for just a short time, and bring them back. Not only did the event give Riot a chance to rework Gankplank, but it fit very well into the lore and showed the community that the world is still alive and changing in the present. This event was very well designed and satisfied every type of player and member of the community in some aspect, making it the best event to hit the League.
The point I'm trying to make here, is that we need more events brought around that aren't just small extra stories that will be easily forgotten, but build onto the world of Runeterra that so many of us know and love.
