  How strong do you guys think Adult Annie will be? Fire has always seemed weak to me. In almost every anime/movie/show in general, fire seems to fall off in terms of power. Like you'll see someone shoot a character with a fireball or get hit by a pillar of fire and it does nothing to them because overall fire just ain't that strong. Annie is a magical prodigy from what we can see... but is fire really THAT strong in the universe of League? The only thing I can really speculate is that Annie will learn a new type of fire magic (black fire?) that could actually be useful. Otherwise she falls behind the other prodigies by a mile. While Annie is up there on destructive power, because fire can just spread and spread, I feel like in terms of our other prodigies (who are of course older than her, atm, but idk how she'll catch up) she's just weaker.

We have Taliyah, Veigar and Lulu that I'll be looking at.

 Taliyah is pretty op with her stones, she literally stone surfed all the way to shurima... like does her magic not even fatigue her? Idk how Annie would challenge that, she'd need fire hot enough to melt stone, otherwise I could see Taliyah using creative ways to defeat Annie like covering herself in stone to block out the heat in the short amount of time it'd take to crush her. There's also that about Annie's flame magic... It doesn't have very many defensive measures if it can't burn the thing coming towards her. Maybe this is where Annie's conjuration abilities like Tibbers come into play? She could just animate other things to take hits for her. Overall though, Taliyah wins.

 Veigar is pretty much omnipotent and can create black holes... I only think Annie has a chance because she could probably just instantly burn veigar to a crisp, I don't know of any defensive measures he can take vs fire. It really just comes down to if Annie can burn him before she dies to a black hole or something. In terms of raw strength I think Veigar wins, but sadly he's a yordle who's weak to fire, so it's a possibility Annie could win. I think Veigar would win VS taliyah because he could be more defensive vs her with his abilities. I don't see Veigar having an ability to block out heat and Annie can just heat up the surrounding area, she doesn't have to throw a fireball. 

 Lulu is pretty op although a lot of people sleep on her. She's friends with the fae who seem to be able to control reality pretty easily. I'm pretty sure Lulu could, no joke, just turn annie into a flower and stomp on her. That being said, Lulu is someone who likes to have fun.. so she might get herself killed having "fun" with annie and think that the fireballs being thrown at her are part of a game. Although in game doesn't always = lore, Pix seems to have some defensive abilities for Lulu to protect her. We also don't know what type of reality bending you can do with a flower. The flower thing is actually in the lore though. She could just step on Annie over and over again. I am a serious candidate for Lulu being the strongest character in lore btw. Like no joke. Riot has shown no limit to her polymorphing power so she could kill death herself (themselves? I just always see lamb as the main one of the two). Nagakay-who? Just turn the god into a flower lmao. You thought karthus couldn't die? That's because you've never seen him as a flower.

But yeah before this turns into a Lulu thread...

 how strong do y'all think Annie will be. I say she either develops nuke level fire explosion powers (like world rune explosion level) or she develops some sort of black flame that's infinite degrees/ drains life from things (Techincally fire already does that in a way but not what I meant). Otherwise she'll just turn into one of those characters that seems really strong but is pretty weak because fire on it's own can't do much vs other things. The explosion path seems good because that gives her fire impact damage instead of DoT damage. There's also the conjuration path she could go down. Endless army of tibbers? Kinda terrifying. 

 Annie is one of my favorite characters lore wise... Her gameplay is easy to hate, I hope she becomes an op child soon. Also would love to see more of piltover and just how far they've gotten with hextech stuff. I kinda want piltover to end up op because they use science and it just seems like a fun place. Also amumu. I want Amumu to go crazy on the haters.

Also just so you know, this is a speculation thread. Not a super factual thread. Some peeps were trying to speculate on my factual post the other day. Like lmao stop theory crafting when I'm pulling out facts sis. No one cares if YOU THINK x character will beat x character because factually what we've been shown they really won't. You can say anyone can be anyone on this thread as long as you back it up. Well really you can do that on any thread you just won't piss me off if you do it here. Some annoying Aurelion Sol stan has been on my TAIL!!!! Like I'm sorry I exposed ur main lore wise. He really ain't that strong. We don't name and shame on the boards tho so I ain't saying who it is but like y'all might see him in the comments here. I won't tell y'all who it is but honestly they're probably just gonna expose themselves without my help and say something about Aurelion Sol on this Annie thread for no reason.

Honestly if the fire element in a given show feels underpowered, then its likely because they nerfed the way fire works.

Flames can cause horrendous burning and huge amount of pain, so fire is actually one of the more dangerous elements to wield(granted every element can be dangerous, but even a small flame can easily induce a lot of pain).

If fire falls off in a show then its mostly because fire starts getting treated like pretty much every other element and only the magical power itself is really important.

However LoL might not work that way. If you throw a fireball into someones face and who doesn't have magical protection, then they'll likely suffer a lot of pain and might be scarred for life.

That being said, there are always some "elements" that are often considered top-tier like gravity or reality warping, but its always a case of scale(a weak gravity spell will still be inferior to a powerful fire spell).

  • Have you seen the utterly brilliant flames of the firestorm conjured by Dumbledore even in his near-death state, which was especially exaggerated in the movie adaptation into what was arguably the single strongest display of magic in the entire franchise?
  • The fire of Balrog, that was so powerful it was only doused by the underground lake so ancient and so deep in the earth it was forgotten even by the Maiar?
  • What about the flames of Roy Mustang, the famed Flame Alchemist from Fullmetal Alchemist, who wielded it so powerfully he is the strongest character in terms of sheer firepower in the entire series with 0 contest outside of the Father; and is also the only character who could kill the named homunculus characters, who each are all incredibly tough and powerful rendering them virtually invincible to just about anyone besides their own and a handful of characters, in short period of time and without much struggle at all as long as he gets in his firing range.
  • Or the old man Yamamoto from Bleach, a fire user who was the strongest character in all of Soul Society. His flames are so great it would appear merely revealing his blade alone would cause a firestorm that incinerate miles around Yamamoto, which is why he kept his blade sealed until he has to resort to it. He also had no issues containing his own flames inside his own body, such as absorbing his own massive firestorm into his own body to prevent damage to surroundings. At the height of his power fully unleashed, he clads himself and his weapon in temperature upward to 15 million degrees which is actually quite ridiculous from a writing standpoint (given that is the temperature of the core of the sun, and the surface of the sun is "only" 5000 degrees Celsius) but the point is that his flame power may as well be invincible.
  • And like, Dark Souls with its super usage of fire motifs like the Primordial/First Flame, pyromancy, and all that? In Dark Souls 3, you can even get a weapon called the Firelink Greatsword where you can use its weapon art to buff it with the literal First Flame in the game's universe, and even if just in its much weaker and nearly faded form (the flame you conjured is called "Ember", basically the last sparks of a flame) but still extremely powerful as one of the game's stronger weapons (outside of the unimpressive movesets holding it back).

And I'm only restricting myself to like the super popular titles and only from the top of my head.

yeah nah. I'm pretty sure fantasy writers all love fire/flames and write them into 'late game' just fine.

well i mean the thing about fire is it is strong early game but dwindles late game. which is true in most games. if she were to start using more than classic fire and dabble into say blue fire or green fire then she could actually do some harm.
