Something I'd Honestly Hope to See With the Mordekaiser Rework (@MaliciousMetal)

So for a while now I've had an idea on what Riot should do with Mordekaiser, largely inspired by another villain who should give off the same feeling; Thanos. Mordekaiser really should be Runeterra's Thanos; an immensely disturbing and powerful behemoth of a man with some aspects that 'humanize ' him. Not humanize him in a sense that Mordekaiser should be given a complex array of emotions and feelings, but more add details that remind us that he was once a man, and how disturbing it's carried over to his unnatural afterlife. For instance, perhaps give him disturbing and dark 'family values' just as how Thanos treats his Black Order like his 'children.' The best example I can think of this working with Mordekaiser is having him be the ex lover of LeBlanc; and allow me to explain. LeBlanc betrayed Mordekaiser as his closest advisor, leading to his ultimate downfall. If she was close, it'd be an interesting dynamic to see Mordekaiser treating LeBlanc not with hatred, but with somber and creepy disappointment in someone he once loved. Along with that, it can add an interesting dynamic with his return, perhaps LeBlanc can still hold feelings for him? And Swain's now gotta deal with 'the guy she tells you not to worry about.'

tl;dr: Make Mordekaiser like Thanos and have him be LeBlanc's exlover

The part with Swain and "you vs the guy she tells you not to worry about" made me laugh

I do agree with this sentiment. In fact, I am working on some exploration of Moredkaiser's character that might actually try giving him some more complexity.

I would LOVE LOVE LOVE! To see Mordekaiser and LeBlanc as ex-lovers. I would think that as time passed, and Mordekaiser became more of a blood-thirsty tyrant, LeBlanc grew to realize that he was a threat to everyone around him, and helped the barbarians defeat him before he was consumed by all out rage. And I would think it would take all of her strength to do so, to love someone so much that you have to get rid of them for their own safety and the safety of everything around them. It would give both champions much more complexity.

Nah, let Morde be the classic evil overlord: sarcastic, merciless and utterly badass. His current self has such a nice air of confidence and grim satisfaction in the destruction he causes, and I don't really want this to go. :(

While I enjoy the thought it brings up a very important set of questions I don't think most of us can answer just yet. What I mean is, what is Leblanc's angle?

Was she what she is today back then? If no did she use Mordekaiser to gain her everlasting youth? If yes did she offer Mordekaiser the ritual to make him undying and if so, why?

I honestly am not sure if passionate love is really something that would fit Mordekaiser very well, because that kind of love always means that there is an emotional connection to someone.

The only kind of love that might fit Mordekaiser in my opinion would be one for family members(possibly children)
