What are the chances Mordekaiser's gonna have a German accent/manner of speech in his VGU?

I found myself reading up on some lore tidbits regarding Noxus and the time period between the Fall of Shurima, the Darkin Wars and the first mention of the Noxii tribes and something that really struck me was Riot themselves describing Proto-Noxian as being very similar to German.

Which got me thinking. Mordekaiser already has a very germanic name, with it being a compound word of Mord(e) for Murder and Kaiser for Emperor; making him the Murder Emperor. Now, I know back in the day Riot didn't really think about the bigger picture when it came to naming champions and fleshing out their place in Runeterra's lore, but with them trying to fix that in recent years they might see this as an opportunity to use Mordekaiser as more than just a new big bad Sauron ripoff.

Giving him obvious germanic influences in his speech, be it through simply accent or even some Proto-Noxian words similar to how Xayah and Rakan use Vastayan in their VO, could go a long way to make Mordekaiser more unique and really amp up the image of this ancient titan of the old world.

Besides, Aatrox has a, and I quote, "ancient" accent himself, which means that Riot won't really shy away from giving champions with no clear-cut manner of talking some form of dialect or accent in their rework.

And Mordekaiser would really benefit from something like that, hell, it seems too fitting to not be exploited once they finally update him in the near future.

I actually thought it would be cool if Mordekaiser spoke in that kinda Shakespearean, old English way. Y'know, like you'd hear in Dark Souls. But it looks like the new Leona skin has that covered so it would make Morde feel less unique lol. But honestly, as long as his voice really conveys that sense of power (his short story described his voice as "the timber of death itself") that he deserves I don't really care if he has a notable accent or not. It would sound badass either way!

Then we discover that Morde became a ruthless overlord because he was rejected at the art academy...

Jokes aside, I'm a bit skeptical about this. If Rito can give him an accent that only midly sounds germanic, then yes, I believe it would fit him. But nothing too sharp. Not as heavy as Fiora's french accent, for instance.

Doubtful, since, as you said, Aatrox is from ancient Shurima. Not the Noxian tribes. It would make sense for Morde to get a German accent if Aatrox didn’t have it already. What’s worse, now that Aatrox has it, the other Darkin and Ascended should have it as well, since they’re from the same place and time period.

Unless, of course, Aatrox was originally from one of the Noxian tribes and journied to Shurima from there before becoming Ascended... Then it would make sense both for his accent to be different from the other ancient Shurimans and for him to share it with Mordekaiser.

Hmmm... sure. They'd have to do it right though. Mordekaiser's VGU HAS to make him into an extremely evil and corrupt being of pain and destruction. He needs to be the ultimate evil champion. That's what he was always meant to be.

Mordekaiser should've had the new Aatrox's voice.

In fact, the whole Aatrox rework should've been Mordekaiser's (exception being the model).
