Any thoughts on why the heavens wanted to pull Mount Targon off Runeterra

Almost a year ago when Zoe was released Riot posed a video expanding Mount Targon and they stated that what today is known as Mount Targon was pulled from the ground.. And everyone kinda forgot that...I honestly have no idea in my head why they would do that but I would like to hear your thought !

I thought Mount Targon was just home to a lot of weird gravitational anomalies due to the presence of, well, Targon. The point is, it's not a natural mountain.
