Can We Not Call Bard "He"?

As the title. Bard is explicitly stated to be genderless so it doesn't make sense to refer to them as male.

Yeah but he looks vaguely male and most people use words like that more like a habit than conscious choice. Kindred is 'she' despite actually being 'them'. Bard is 'he' despite being 'it'. There are better causes to get upset about though, really.

If only Bard could toot to us what pronouns they prefer.

He's referred to by male pronouns in his lore, I don't know what you're talking about.

He refer to him with male pronouns to pay proper reverence to his mighty beard.

" Bard travels through realms beyond the imagination of mortal beings. Some of Valoran's greatest scholars have spent their lives trying to understand the mysteries it embodies. This enigmatic spirit has been given many names throughout the history of Valoran, but titles such as Cosmic Vagabond and Great Caretaker only capture a fleeting aspect of his true purpose. When the unknowable structure of the universe is threatened, Bard steers all existence away from utter annihilation."

I'll stop when Riot does.

It's because the english language does not have neutral pronouns that do not sound dehumanizing.

Bard also isn't human, but to be dehumanizing is somewhat insulting. Humans are weird like that.

It's the same as people calling Kindred a "she" even though it's a "they" but since people control Lamb in-game, they just automatically call Kindred a "she".

Just saying, many people do call Kindred they. Even if you don't believe in the gender-neutral 'they' it makes sense with Kindred because it is two people.

As someone who goes by 'they' pronouns, I don't find it dehumanizing in the least bit.

"It" simply sounds a bit dehumanizing and people tend to use "he" for characters without a real gender.
