Riot doesn't care about their characters.

In the very first event of the new lore, Freljord, they happily removed Trundle for no good reason. In Shurima, the magus ascendant was portrayed more as the politician ascendant.

The quality of the lore is good, act I is great even, but if Riot doesn't care about their characters, I won't either. Without characters to care about, stories are hollow.

The Shurima lore would have been of some value if it didn't destroy already existing cool champions without giving the full infos about their matters (See Renek and Xerath). Plus it deleted the Lore of many other characters that didn't get replaced even if some of them didn't have anything to do with said event.

Same with the Kalista release and the Harrowing. Mordekaiser has become just an old wraith instead of the metal terror that roams Valoran in search of something ripping and enslaving the souls of the ones who try anything with him leaving only fear at his passage.

Edit: This Bilgewater event is far superior from the Shurima one (even if I liked more the Ascension map) because it adds to the involved champions' personalities instead of overwrithing things and leave untold what would give them dept.

I don't care new lore but give Institute of War back please! This is League of Legends!, not SMASH BROS!

At the end, there was a hint that Graves and TF would head to Piltover, which could be a good way to kick off the next story by following them there, then moving to other characters, allowing the world to feel more connected as we move from story arc to story arc by following the last main characters to the next location and main characters.

However, I have a feeling the next story may relate to Garen, Darius, and Skarner (due to their reworks), and what is going on in the Shurima border region with Demacia and Noxus now having a new powerful neighbor literally rise out of the desert.

I really like it. I haven't read much of the lore in the past but this looks like something I can definitely get on board with. I'm keen for Ionia lore just because of Irelia

i'm not...a lot of riot's reworked lore is very short and underwhelming for the champion's character, of course, i haven't read them for a while, but it upset me that some champions were reduced from entire stories to 2-3 lines of text

oh, and now there's the thing how twisted fate is a random bandit with his usual charming flair instead of the man with a dream to control magic that he used to be with a somewhat defined story of how he came to be

Lol I guess it is only just you 2 then.... the lore is.......................... ...................................................

it's pretty decent, but I won't be happy until they actually make skarner a character and not just a guy who they only have a kit and 3d model for. have you seen his new "lore?"
