What is he? What does he look like? (Apart from a beard, pockmarked face and being huge) Is he affected by the void at all? Is he connected with the Darkin at all? How is he immortal? How strong is he current day Runeterra? What are his plans? Does he know about Zilean? Why does he wear a mask? Is that even a mask? WHY DO HIS EYES GLOW BLUE?

Jax is still very strong, though likely past his prime. Jax's plan is find someone who impresses enough that he wants to mentor. Jax knows about Zilean. Other stuff, you'll have to ask Jax.

I don't know why you're so against the idea of him being a troll. Not all media trolls are ugly, dumb, stereotypical "Im angry" type of trolls. He could be a cool troll. It could also be interesting to see how desert trolls evolved drastically differently than ice trolls (trundle).
But anyway, part of Jax's charm is his mystery element, we don't know everything about him so it's fun to guess. Tho I did LOVE Where Icathia Once Stood so more content on Jax/Icathia would be very cool
