Is Spirit World parallel to Runeterra, or is it just a completely different realm?

Like, as we have seen in Xayah and Rakan cinematic, when Zed failed to seperate Spirit World and Physical World, everything was in harmony again.

It makes me think that Spirit World is a realm that we can't see but always there with us. And in some places, gates of the 2 worlds get weaker. So that's why Ionia is naturally more magical and more related with nature and spirits. It is a continent that has stronger relation with Spirit World because of the weaker barrages / gates / whatever that is barrier.

If it is like that, could we have a Spirit World map?

I also like to imagine Spirit World as a generally peaciful place. Like the Ori and the Blind Forest atmosphere. There is harmony and order, but some forces are just malicious that want to break it down. (evil spirits aka demons).

Spirit World being like this would be fucking amazing IMO. That atmosphere, that peace...

If you're familiar with D&D cosmology, I always thought as the Spirit World taking the place of the Ethereal Plain and the Void taking the place of the Plane of Shadow, each of them coinciding, with fantastical occurrences where they wear thin. Other dimensions (like wherever the heck Malphite came from) aren't parallel, but they exist in the same multiverse, and tears between said planes are rare compared to the Spirit World and the Void.

You know, this raise a question: Is it possible that one day we could get some champs from the spirit world & have a spirit world faction? It would be interesting to see the spirit world & life there as it would help us get a better understanding of Shen's role as the avatar Twilight of Balance. I know people could argue that a few champs could be spirits & that's a quality discussion. But I think it would open some interesting doors if we see the Spirit's side of Runeterra. Just like with the Void.

Most likely parallel. That could also be the case with the Void. We don't know much about it, but from the few things we've heard it isn't a completely separate dimension you can access with a few remote portals, but rather exists along with the normal world, and enters it in places where "the veil separating them wears thin" (e.g. Icathia).

it actually seems like its a bit parallel and a bit like a physical space in runeterra.
