Review about on Varus story

DISCLAIMER:This is my opinion, if you disagree tell me why.

So as of now, Varus is an entity composed by the Darkin Varus and the lovers Kai and Valmar. After Kai gets wounded, Valmar decides to give him to the Pit of Pallas, regretting it shortly after and decides to dive in to pull Kai from there. They have a "battle of wills" were Varus gains control of their flesh and the 3 of them share the same body.

Their relationship feels natural and not forced. I got myself questioning if Ionia being a place of many traditions would not see them kindly but this are also the people who very connected to magic and spiritualism so maybe it doesn't mean anything to them.

It's a plus that being "gay" isn't their defining trait but, as member of the LGBTQ myself (I like to build both if you know what I mean), I don't need Varus to gay to relate to them. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind a homosexual champion but I much prefered if they did it with a new character than "turning" an older one.

One thing I got confused is who is in control? The Darkin seems to have more control over the body with Kai and Valmar as background noise but it seems they can control their body for short amounts of time. In-game, who is talking? Varus, Valmar or Kai? Varus needs a new VO to make this clearer.

In conclusion, I have mixed feelings about the story on the positive side. What about you guys tho?
