Before anyone says anything about Lissandra's retcon into more of a good guy.

Ornn's lore specifically mentioned her sealing the watchers with her magic.

Lissandra’s goals are not compatible with the goals of the Void. She desires a world of Ice, that’s what her entire religion is based off of, reconciling a brutal existence in the Freljord with the realities found within Ice. She fights both for her own supremacy over the world and against the coming eradication at the hands of the Watchers.
She's still kind of a villain. She sided with the Watchers and betrayed her sisters for immortality. Her sisters found out and rebelled openly, the Watchers responded by trying to destroy the world and then Lissandra betrayed the Watchers and froze them. She's still not a good guy at all...

She wanted to help the watchers because she wanted to be immortal but then she found out that her world, everything she fought to create in the freljord would be destroyed by the watchers then she said NO.
She needed to sacrofice her sisters to seal them, they loved each other tho, so it hurt her. The fact that she loved her sisters can also be seen in the way the Frostguard also pray to Serylda and Avarosa and not just Lissandra.
Lissandra is the matriarch of the frostguard, they are her children, she loves and protects them from everyone outside of the citadel! Liss still wants to eradicate Ashe and Sejuani. She probably still wants to expand her empire but fordt the watchers need to be sealed toghter so they dont interfere*[slayer-pantheon-popcorn]*
I mean, Ornn's lore also mentions that the act of casting a spell on the bridge actually weakened the seal in the long run, though.
I suppose you could take it either way, as meaning well but ignorant that it would weaken Ornn's work, or a scheme, knowing that doing so would make the Abyss into a time bomb.

I haven't checked to see if that's true, but if it is, it doesn't make it any less of an unwelcome change. The fact of the matter is that Lissandra fans don't like the change itself. They like her because she's a villain. Where does this revelation leave her? Very confused, theme-wise.
I'll find the link later but a Rioter from the narrative team confirmed Lissandra still wants to rule the Freljord and possibly the world but realized there won't be a world to rule if the Void consumes Runeterra. So, she turned on them once they broke through and she couldn't deny she had conspired with them.
Ornn's story doens't paint Lissandra as good at all. He dislikes her and immediately thinks her suspicious.
Yeah it makes her a good guy but WHY ¿( And parts of ornns lore are retconed as well.) She was the perfect Villian no need to make her into a good guy. If they keep on this they better change tittle to the runeterra vs void...
While this certainly is interesting to notice in hindsight, I think it's a bit difficult to know just how seriously we should take anything said in Three Sisters ask Ornn for help. It's an in-universe story rather than definite fact, and Lissandra's manipulation of the history makes it difficult to know if the account is trustworthy, and it contradicts what we're told in Lissandra's new bio in more than a few places.
Most notably we're told that "the Three Sisters vowed never to speak of Ornn again" after Lissandra is said to have sealed the monsters in the abyss. That certainly wouldn't make sense if she had to sacrifice them in order to seal the Void away. We're also shown other inconsistencies like all Three Sisters speaking with Ornn when Serylda presumably should already be mute and the Sisters being presented as having been at war for several years after they first spoke with Ornn even though Lissandra's bio says that "Lissandra’s hidden allegiance to the Watchers became undeniable" when the Void erupted into the world.
Tbh,this being Lissandra I assumed that she actually sabotaged the howling abyss,because as Ornn puts it "magic makes the structure weaker",meaning that she might have worked to weaken the bridge without blowing her cover.
That being said,her motivations were never all that clear. I mean why did she even serve the watchers in the first place?Was she thankful for them?Did she think that the humans needed the watchers guidance to survive?Did she plan to double-cross them the whole time?Was she just insane?
I like "Wicked Witch Lissandra".
She is till a villain. She just doesnt want the Watchers to be the villains ruling above her.
