Has anyone noticed that the eternumI skins have a darkin-ish feeling or kinda look like they are a darkin version of their respective champion?

Like seeing those black grey armor plating and red skin I feel like the eternum skins are related to the darkin
I'd be surprised if it's more than a coincidence. The Eternum skins have a lot of metal and crackling red energy. It's a similar color scheme to the Darkin, granted. But I imagine the similarities are not intentional.
riot likes to reuse color schemes. look at project fiora and the new darius skin.
they have the same pink accents/dark purple armor/white hair color scheme going.
Most likely just a coincidence. Iirc, then eternum is supposed to be a futuristic skin line with aliens that are corrupting lifeforms. Basically they are the Borg, metal based alien race that is assimilating other life forms to serve in their collective.
And Cassiopeia is most likely supposed to be the queen, one of her animations even shows her corrupting a ratlike creature. In her splash, you see that she seems to be in a place with high technology, most likely a spaceship.
Darkin, as far as we know, are not working like that. Sure, they are able to take over someone's body and inhabit it themselves. But they don't corrupt living beings to become one of them without taking its place.
That's a pretty nice catch. I didn't even notice that before, rather interesting. I wonder what's Riots take on these similarities..
Darkin= Metal + Organic Biology
Eternium= Metal + Red energy/ non organic substance
i want this to be true...
