Should there be a lore event where Lux reveals to all of Demacia that she's a mage?

Now, before you say that'd be Lux committing suicide, there are plenty of ways it could work out so that Lux is hailed as a hero. I'll have a personal iteration in the comments below (to avoid the topic being flagged as "fanfiction").

But my view is that Lux can't keep that hidden away forever. Either someone is going to rat her out, or she might as well reveal it on her own terms. I'd go with the latter, as it'd give Lux an opportunity to avoid having Garen try to kill her.

I feel like it'd have to come at a point where Demacia's safety is questioned. An assault from the full force of the Noxian legions or a void invasion the likes of which Valoran hasn't seen in ages. It'd also probably be a moment where Demacia could see Galio pop up and come to terms with the idea that a magical entity has been their greatest symbol and protector for centuries.

Basically for Lux's identity and powers being revealed in a huge way to not lead to her death it has to be during the course of an event that would allow Demacia to see the nuance of what's happened, and as such create some destabilisation culturally as to who they trust and the value of the traditions and ideologies they've had for so long. Basically I feel like Lux, if she ever gets to showcase her full powers to help her entire nation, should come at a time where that very act helps push Demacia's over all narrative forward.

Id prefer if she confessed to Garen, kind of like saying, I trust you with this information that could get me killed. And I'd love Garen to support his sister despite his nearly unwavering dedication to Demacia. You know in the Garen + Lux story how he killed the guy even though it wasn't his fault he committed the murders? And he said that he had to do it for Demacia? He is dedicated and he follows this creed without question, but it would be nice to see him make an exception for something like his sister.

Here is my iteration of how it could work.

Swain is launching a massive invasion of Demacia. Part of his strategy is to draw out the statue Galio and have Sion destroy him while he is petrified (Sion's necromantic animation is not enough magic to animate Galio). This would absolutely crush the Demacians' morale, and would ensure a Noxian victory.

Lux is made aware of this plot and, knowing Swain wants to bait out Galio, knows that she's the only one who could get to him and animate him via her own magic. Unfortunately, Swain is taking Lux into account (knowing she's a mage) and sends Talon (or Katarina) to assassinate her before she can intervene. Thankfully Lux is saved by Quinn, who buys Lux the time she needs to escape and reach the battlefront, where Sion is plowing through Demacian forces and is nearly at Galio. Lux gets to Galio just in time and, despite that everyone around can see her, uses her magic to animate Galio, letting the Colossus fight back against Sion.

But Sion cannot be killed through sheer physical might or Petricite weapons. Only magic can truly kill him, and so Garen is forced to protect Lux while she prepares a powerful-enough spell (i.e. Final Spark) to kill Sion. Despite his misgivings on magic, Garen protects Lux because she's family, claiming "You will answer for your deception later", and Lux is able to take out Sion, forcing Swain to withdraw his forces.

What happens afterwards would probably be best figured out by Riot's lore crew.

I mean, if a witch were to appear and save people from a plague, would they still kill her? For every Jarvan, or even Garen, there's a Vayne, and all it takes is one.

I think that is a part of her current charm, the only thing that makes her different from her old version of lore.
