Time for a Pyke talk

Disclaimer: I'm almost M7 Pyke, just need blue essence to upgrade my tokens. And first off, Pyke is fun. Like... SUPER FUN! So good job Riot. This discussion is about a theory on Pyke and could be totally wrong or absolutely correct. We all have an opinion probably and if you feel so inclined go ahead and vote and share yours below.

Now... By popular demand:

#"My list just keeps getting longer" While we don't know what kind of person Pyke truly is we do know a bit about him. So let's start there: -"World doesn't do fair and equal, but I do" is a line Pyke will say for sharing a cut. Meaning Pyke is very adamant about everyone who was "A part of the work, a part of the pay." He very much feels everyone should get what they deserve in both a positive and a negative way. -"You watched me drown!" Pyke was a harpooner on a ship called The Terror, he was doing his job and the crew feeling he'd sink the ship because of an incident, cut his line condemning him to his fate. However there are no records of a ship by that name ever docking in Bilgewater. -Pyke has multiple lines about not being quite himself and remembering ... Mostly. Leading us to believe that whatever made Pyke like this is influencing his memory. -"This list just keeps getting longer" shows that Pyke is aware the list adds the names of his victims. In his cover story "Then, Teeth" we see that Pykes mind begins to formulate an image of the person on the deck of the Terror and after hearing their name his mind automatically draws the conclusion "Name, yes I remember now, you were there." Regardless of where they're from, what they do, or who they are.

Now for the theory: Pyke wasn't evil, and still isn't. Yes he murders people for revenge, and then random people, but this is largely probably because of whatever is keeping him alive. When not around people Pyke expresses how he doesn't feel like himself, but when he runs into people his mind is consumed with an induced thirst for vengeance. Now Pyke might not be a great person, but if his voiceless are cannon, then he does truly believe in Fair and Equal. I feel that if we get a story where Pyke meets a nameless person, Pyke won't kill them and that's something I want to see. Pyke kills if he "remembers" that they were there, but if the person has no name and therefore no name can appear on the terrors manifest, and Pyke will have no name to remember, I believe Pyke won't kill them. But that's just a theory, and feel free to discuss it below.
