Can we talk about the lack of lore with new champions?

I know this comes off as kind of whiney, but really why has Riot been neglecting champion lore. It has really degraded the depth of the characters in this game. Along with this, they're also systematically destroying the good lore from back in the day (Yes, I'm talking about Trundle. Thanks for ruining that one...). At least bring back something similar to the Journal of Justice for us who enjoy the lore of the game too please...
