How do the God-King Skins appeal to you visually?

Now before we begin, I'm not here claiming I'm salty about the (presumed) loss of the side I chose (God-King Garen, as evident by my icon). I COULD be, but I'm not going to bring it up here.

What I want to ask my fellow players (Regardless of the side they chose in the event), is...

Do you find God-KIng Darius to be visually appealing, visually mediocre or visually unappealing?

This includes all effects associated with the two skins, from splash art to particle effects, to the design of the champion's appearance, and any other aspects of them I might not have mentioned.

really like god-king garen purely based on how he looks (ingame splash etc) and i really dont like darius his head thing looks just weird too me and ingame the particles are…. just too much

i really dont like lions or garen, i love wolves and i prefer darius, yet i voted for garen just because i found his skin and his end icon (if he wins) to be a lot better than darius ones

Garen has two swords, Garen wins.

In seriousness, I think Darius looks...gaudy. They're both over the top as hell, but Garen is consistent and (amusingly) ordered. Darius mixes elements of magic (his skirt) into a kit or aesthetic that doesnt otherwise use any magic. If it wasnt for the white, spiked-back hair and the weird things on the side of his face that make him look like he's cosplaying PROJECT: Fiora, he'd look very cool.

Especially with that axe-clink when you Q.

I'm biased, naturally, having chosen Garen and being more familiar with his God-Kingly voice lines that never fail to make me chuckle, but as this is a question of bias, I'm simply answering how I feel.

I gotta say I wasn't impressed to just see these two champions in suits of armor... again.

Like I get it's kind of their shtick, but the other Versus skins were a lil more showy.

Garen's skin and splash both look really good

Darius's skin has too much pink in it for my tastes, but his splash is very good.

I like that their weapons are transforming, Garen splitting his sword in 2 for his E and Darius shifting the blade to a hook for his W.

However, the general thematic is not really my cup of tea. High fantasy theme, both of them seem extremely cocky (especially with these throne recalls), I don't really understand why they have spirit animals with them....

I think God King Garen is a beautiful skin visually. He looks regal asf, and definitely pulls off the "Lord of Light" kind of look. I rarely rarely rarely play Garen but totally grabbed the skin, boarder and ward. I really enjoy playing Garen with the skin, and I've never wanted to actually play Garen but now I do. I also looooove Lions.

I also like the Darius skin but it doesn't appeal as much to me. It's a bit too grey, where as Garen's skin's colors really pop. I'll probably grab it on early sale because I looove the effects and the wolf.

Garen is a bit underwhelming, but his affects are AMAZING Darius is pretty amazing, but slighty underwhelming effects.

I don't like the splash arts. Darius especially being from behind makes him feel quite obscured; I feel like I'm not getting a good look at him with this. And that isn't to say a shot from behind never works, but you can't see his face or get a good look at the general look of the armor (you'd never know his shoulders are wolves from the splash).

I find both VERY visually appealing, though I have to choose Garen moreso than Darius. I love the splashart. The Pose they are all in, Garen, his Wolf, and his Soldiers. Garen's pose is one of my favorite in any artwork, stoic, strong, a figurehead for those to follow, ready to face any threat. The Soldiers, perfect lines, perfect order, calm and composed in the face of barbarian hordes. And then the one figure to provide contrast, his lion, showing that despite their composure, Garen and his soldiers have a ferocity equal to that of Darius' hordes.

The Garen skin in general is just a lot nicer imo, and of the two I would definitely buy Garen's before Darius's, though I would love some more purple tones being added to either. I would also love a version of the skins without headgear though, Darius looks pretty dumb with his earflaps, and Garen's crown is just really unappealing and bland to be that close to the giant lion's maw pauldrons.

Still rooting for Darius in the war though, just because a heretic looks good doesn't mean he ain't a heretic.

The concepts aren't original, it's hard for me to like them especially as 1820RP skins with a big event based around them.

the only thing darius skin has going for him is the ult imo. and im not just saying this because i main garen. i play both of them and dunkmaster darius is a better legendary than this new one.

garens skin is just visually all around stunning. the base model looks really good in the game and has this soft glow around his cape wings, but even the animation of his passive looks really good with the blue sparkles.

the way he starts spinning with his sword, then grabs the hilt with the other hand, splits it into two halves mid spin, and then puts them back together at the end is just fucking awesome.

God King Darius isn't as intimidating as Garen, I agree he should have had red instead of purple. Though as a skin alone, it's an excellent one for Darius, it has great animations and is the best serious one for the character.

God King Garen is just above and beyond, maybe the best skin so far this year (that or Beemo).

The only thing that I don’t like out of either skin is the the Noxious Might particle effect on darius’ skin, the particle to show that the person has five stacks is pretty ugly. And the sword of Garen’s ult is pretty hard to see honestly. You know how warring kingdom’s Garen has a giant ass green sword particle for his ult? The god-king version is kinda pale in comparison for me.

Darius’ q hitbox is super easy to see with the god-king skin for me. It has helped me a bunch for trade and other fights in game.

I love both of these skins. The only reason i chose darius was that he looked a little darker and cooler in his splash art and that he is most likely going to win the vs event.

I love Garens more, I do like Darius' skin without a doubt, but I prefer Garen

1.I am extremely biased, I have been waiting for a skin for him ever since I started playing that I actually liked. (I only like Rugged, DT and Dreadknight)

2.I much prefer the whole idea of Order much more than Chaos.

3.The in-game model for Garen is just, screams

4.His quote with Katarina is just screams

Though I do hate how Jamison Price did not voice GareBear :( They are probably going to give him a different voice actor when they rework Garen someday.

I am a darius main and I absolutely love the God-King Darius Visuals. Some of the skins quotes are a little bit too edgy for me but for the most part the skin is great. 9/10 not enough dunks.
