I wanted to ask some Rioter, how hard would it be to add a few skin exclusives VO lines when a champions gets a VGU or VO Update?

First, what is a VO Update? for those who don't know is when a champion is relatively fine in visuals and/or gameplay, so they update they Voice Over because it was lacking. Two examples of this would be Lux, who got a VO Update when they called her actress to voice the Elementalist skin (and they used the moment) And the other would be Maokai who got new voicelines when was the Tank Update.

What do I mean by Skin exclusives VO lines? For those who play Jinx, Jhin or Taliyah knows that their release skins (Mafia Jinx, High Noon Jhin and Freljord Taliyah) have a few extra lines from their base, this happens because Riot records extra lines when they call the voice Actor/Actress and then uses them in the skins.

Would be nice to get a few lines for every skin (or for a few specific). I'm not saying Legendary VO, but like 2-3 lines.

For example, Evelynn is near her VGU (most likely they already recorded), but imagine if her Tango skin would have a special taunt with Tango TF. Things like that.

What do you think? I think this would raise the value of every skin, since every skin would have a bit of unique from all the rest.

Hey Finikksu! There's good news and bad news here...

The good news is, THIS ALREADY HAPPENS!!!! For the Warwick and Urgot VGUs (aka reworks), we added lines to a few of the skins where we felt they'd make the biggest impact. (Hyena Warwick and Battlecast Urgot to be specific.) It wouldn't be too hard to do this during VO updates either, I think there were a few Meowkai lines that were recorded, actually. I don't quite remember why they didn't make it into the game. But if things had worked out, they could have!

Anyway, the bad news is that even when we do things like this many players don't notice. [zombie-nunu-tears] So doing a few lines for every skin might be overkill. I love your idea of the Tango Evelynn taunt though, that's a perfect example of a skin where there's a real opportunity to do something awesome.

Any suggestions for Swain?

Sometimes when a new champ launches their launch skin gets a few lines changed or added, like Program Camille got taunts towards project skins and said some stuff when entering the enemy base. So maybe this actually will happen.

Well, what I just want is a new MF VO but would like some extra lines for some of her skins like Captain, PP and SG.

I'm not sure where Riot said it but they addressed why they can't just update VOs easily.

Their reason was that it's difficult to get all the Voice Actors and organize it all. Also they gotta account for all the other regions and all the other Voice Actors. Another comment they made says that they don't have dedicated resources to updating VOs.

In my opinion I think they just don't think about it.
