Is Aatrox really getting a full VGU?
If that's the case then I would be very sad. I really love Aatrox's splash art and design. It's my favorite thing about him.

I heard they aren't changing his theme or aesthetic at all. Just rebuilding him from the ground up to modernize his current look.
I feel the part that is problematic is the kit, if they make changes to his look and Art most likely it will just be touch ups and slight color shifts to a brighter and glossier look like Rhaast
His model is fine, he is just getting a GU.

Not entirely. He is getting a very large-scope non-VGU update though. He'll look slightly/somewhat different in game, he'll have a new splash (tbf his current one is meh), completely new kit, new voiceover where he interacts with the other darkin... et cetera.
He will have some model changes as said in the scarra and qtpie and the rioter podcast

He doesn't get a full VGU,but he gets a smaller VGU,which will be more similar in scope to Fioras VGU(or maybe even Shens VGU).
