My confusion with the Void answered.

They look nothing alike, right? But one paragraph clarified it all for me which others have been talking about.

So they end up looking like a RekSai or a Chogath as they spend time in the fresh air.

This is also explained in Diana short story.

She meets a voidling just spawned into our reality and notices how its plae white skin becomes a purplish carapace like our atmosphere was burning it alive.

Actually I think it is possible that the Baron isn't voidborn,but merely void touched,similar to the rift herald or malzahar. Because he resembles a Krakenwyrm quite a bit

Voidborn take different forms, thats the point. Every voiborn is a unique snowflake.
