So now that the Bilgewater lore event is live, I wanna say to the lore team...

Thank you [galio-happy]

No really, I mean it. Going back over a place that we've already updated and had an event for may seem redundant to some, but to me it just breathes life even further into an already interesting character. You didn't need to do it, but you did, and it's made the entire area more interesting as a result. I love the new Kench, Fizz, and Nautilus lore, and Pyke is an extremely interesting character as well.

All this passion that you put into this lore clearly shows, and it just makes this world feel so much more alive. I don't play League much anymore, but I still follow the lore, and this makes me very, very pleased for all the effort you put into it.

We're more than halfway done now with updating every champion, and the effort is paying off. I eagerly await the day when the lore is complete once more.

Good job guys.

Glad you enjoyed it all! I think there's a false assumption that we pick regions to update based on our own preferences... when in fact, we are led to cover (and re-cover) certain areas because of the new champion releases...

Besides, there isn't a single region/faction in the lore that has been fully explored, yet. Plenty more to look at if we ever need to return to Bilgewater, too! :-)

I want to say that there are a lot more regions other than Pirate Bay.

This game is becoming more and more mono thematic both in terms of gameplay and now even in terms of Lore. I'm sorry I liked it in the first place.

Not a fan.

Can’t get invested in a story that changes itself every few months.

Right? It's awesome. Bilgewater has become my favorite region in the game with this update, as I love the idea of a culture based around lawlessness and monster hunting. Any random Bilgewater citizen could drop me easily, but I'd still go there because it's so cool. I love the ocean the the idea of a place where ocean horrors are real and serious forces is a dream come true. I just love the thematic. Before I really knew the lore and thought it was just pirate land I honestly found it a little boring, felt like they could do more than just pirates and a few weird things like Nautilus and Fizz, but now that they've focused those sorts of characters into sort of urban legends I feel like the place is a lot more cohesive and interesting.
