I'm quitting league (Aatrox main 1.3 mill mastery points)

I've been playing Aatrox for about three and a half years now and i think it's time for me to finally say goodbye to my beloved champ and also the game itself. i'm not mad about the aatrox rework as riot previously said that his rework will be the biggest rework ever implemented in league history. So i've had some time to prepare myself before the rework actually hit's the servers. However, i just couldn't find any replacements for him in league. That's why i have decided to quit league until riot maybe reverts him?, buff/change his kit, or if a new darkin champion is released that is similiar the the version of aatrox i love. This whole rework looks great and all but his kit feels wayyyy too clunky and his abilities don't really feel original. The old aatrox was fine. In my opinion, all riot had to do was to get rid of Aatrox's 30 health cost for his E and maybe revert his W ratios back to the way it was before. BUT even without these changes, he was still a champion that was neither broken or trash. The only reason people thought he was trash was because they didn't know how to properly play him. I'm pretty sure his rework will become a meme like ryze.

Well riot is not gonna change a champ for one person ( and not even for 100 ) so you either deal with it or leave. Its a shame that you'd leave for a trivial reason like this, but hell, who am I to judge.

I don't think you understand the reason for the gameplay rework.

Its not that Aatrox was necessarily weak(every champ can be made strong if you just raise the numbers enough),just that his gameplay wasn't very fun to play against(and sometimes to play with),because his skillset was very binary and stat reliant.

Playing against a strong aatrox is unfun,because he'll just jump into your face and AA you to death and there is nothing you can do,because he heals himself while doing it. But playing as an Aatrox that is behind the enemy team also sucks a lot,because your stats won't be good enough to keep you alive in a fight.

So either way it would really suck for one side,there wasn't much middleground.

That being said,I wish you good luck and hope that they'll eventually release a champ that will interest you again.

Yeah I mean personally Ive been playing Aatrox for a little while now (im almost m4) and I gotta say man, this champ just feels terrible. Laning phase is alright but after that you just fall off so incredibly hard that anyone with just a little kite can destroy you. That said, i'm sorry your leaving dude.

Aatrox was ruined when his passive was removed and he couldn't revive anymore, after the removal of his passive it was almost impossible to manage to activate it and it was like he didn't have a passive at all.

never played aatrox but he always seemed well off for me... Didnt get the reason for the rework at all... I only play lissandra and if they ruin her (passive) Ill prbably be leaving too until they release a good new champion... Cant blame your decision

LeeSin he can heal himself and shield others and jumps around. Probably the closest thing to old Aatrox IMO.

Aatrox has issues, Garen has Issues. Guess what? they are still decent champs and Aatrox is beeing played in LCS and prbl. other pro leagues too... The problem is that unlike the Irelia rework riot didnt doubble down on the champions strength and kept the identity. The rworked champ is tottally different from how he used to be. From a Lifesteal Attackspeed bruiser to ... demon riven. thats the real problem.

Riot ruined frostblade Irelia and i will stand by that forever, but they didnt ruin the champ. The reason why people couldn't adjust to Irelia very fast was because her scaling and spikes were completely different. The core essence remained

The fact that they looked to Aatrox and reworked him because of his 'bad design' is kinda silly. Look at champs like Master Yi, Jax, Tryndamere. If they get ahead you're guaranteed to have a bad time. But if they fall behind then they're basically fodder. All a fed Master Yi has to do is press Q.
