I'm not sure how the feel about this story. I do like the idea that Cass has embraced her curse as a strength. Not sure why she would go vigilante and kill a drunken soldier. Admittedly, the guy was a serial killer, but I don't think Cass would selflessly go hunting bad guys.
She forgot to get a sample of his blood for her slide collection.
The reason why she went out to kill was because the curse caused her to have a certain desire to hunt for prey.
The drunken killer was just a good target for her to satisfy that desire.
Its similar to how a cat goes crazy(causing them to run around in the house) if it doesn't hunt/play for a long time.
Something else I've noticed: Cassio overwhelms the soldier mostly with pure strenght,yet ingame she is a squishy wizard.
So we could interpret that as her poison magic being even more potent than her physical power,which would say a lot about her magical abilities.

Well, here's the thing.
It's more about the intentions behind her actions.
Helping people is a bonus (if albeit just a consequence of what she's doing). The intention is more about finding a suitable prey to hunt and toy with. She only preyed on the guy that preyed on others because she knew she could get away with it. Because nobody would miss him. Because he was a decent target for what she desired at the moment. Who or what he was didn't matter as long as he proved fun.
And know what?
He could have been better.
Well you also have to think that he recognized her. That either meant her cursed state was a legend or they had a run in. Wouldn't it be interesting if they were previously lovers and he betrayed her? More incentive to kill, and also explains "accomplishments" as they have similar mindset.
