Ekko Story

(Before you say anything this is my first forum post and I made this project for one of my teachers not for this purpose, I hope you enjoy my turn on the story of Ekko. And I know some of these things are Inaccurate to the lore. I also used the Ekko comic and the Video Seconds as some of my references I do not take full credit for this.)

4 minutes and 28 seconds, the fastest time yet… But, Ekko was still too late. AJuna’s lifeless body laid there from head to toe. “39th times a charm,” said Ekko. He reached behind him and activated the Z-drive. He returned to the most recent checkpoint- the moment he noticed AJuna’s absent. He bolted out into the dark and gloomy streets of Zaun and this time he tried a different route on the roofs. Just by the skins of his teeth he reached the ledge and pulled him-self up. He took a left and past what was left of a greenhouse and leaped to the ground. 3 minutes and 52 seconds, Ekko finally made it. There was AJuna’s still conscious. Ekko ran up to him and got down on his knees. “Ekko? Is that you?” AJuna said weakly. “Who did this to you?” Ekko replied holding back the tears. “Two men, they were talking about Noxus, one was wearing only one shoe,” said AJuna through a nasty cough “I just feel so tired.” “Its ok buddy just close your eyes and get some rest, you’ll be in a better place when you wake up.” Ekko laid AJuna up against a nearby wall and activated his Z-drive. AJuna won’t be the only person to die tonight. Ekko bolted out of his house at full sprint searching for the two men. Then he saw them. Both were wearing really ragged clothes. One was a bit tall with a neck as thin as a pencil. The other was short and stubby with little to none hair on his head and he wore…. Only one shoe. Ekko then Z-pointed that very spot and went berserk. Clearly he knew he couldn’t take on both of them with only his fist. But, he had time on his side. Ekko ran up to the side of them and then punched shorty with a powerful blow to his face. His reaction at first was shock but then anger. The tall one was already pulled back ready to swing, but Ekko saw it coming, ducked and elbowed him in the gut. But then before Ekko noticed shorty pulled at a zap-pistol! Quickly Ekko activated the Z-drive and returned to the Z-point. So much for being a fist fight. Ekko knew what he had to do. He ran up the fire escape on a nearby building and got on top of the roof. He saw a huge broken hunk of metal, probably part of a radio receiver. He saw a stray, rusty pipe and whacked the dish off. The Pipe broke but in return the Dish was detached. Obviously the Piece of Metal was too heavy to carry but he could roll it. Ekko then positioned the Dish on the ledge of the building and waited for his victims. Then there they were waltzing down the street acting as if nothing happened. Suddenly, Ekko rolled the Dish off the Building which came crashing down and smacked the Tall one right in the head, leaving him unconscious. Ekko then jumped toward shorty and smacked the zap-pistol out of hands and shoved shorty against the wall. “Why… did you kill him?” Ekko said. Shorty looked at him, wide eyed, and then said “Wait, You’re the Chrono keeper! Ah crap Swain is going to kill me!” “This Swain… Did he set you up to this!?!” Ekko asked Shorty nodded his head and said with a grin “But If you think you can take down the head of Noxus. Then you got another thing coming. Because nothing can defeat the great and powerful Sw-” Ekko threw shorty on the ground. “I don’t have time for this.” Ekko replied then he headed back to his home. When he entered he saw an old man with tens maybe even hundreds of watches on his wrist, ankles. If Ekko didn’t already knew this guy he would’ve attacked him. “So what brings you here old timer.” Ekko said with a grin “It seemed you might need some assistance in these tragic times.” Replied the old man. “I don’t need help, I already got a plan.” “And what is that plan?” “Easy its-“ “Bust in there, avoid the guards and kill Swain… Doesn’t work.” The old man said shaking his head. Ekko sighed “I hate it when you’re right.” The Old man Laughed and replied “I always am. But Ekko you can’t just run in there intruding one of Noxus great leaders… You’re going to need some serious firepower.” “And is that why you’re here?” “Yes” The Oldman replied “You’re going to need these three tools.” The Oldman handed him what looked like a high-tech Yo-Yo, a metal sphere as small as a baseball, and a long metal bat with a button the bottom of it. All are encrypted with the name of the Old man Zilean. “What are these?” Ekko replied looking at each one of them with curiosity. “Well to begin with the metal rod is called a phase drive, it boosted the user Chrono presence and allows you to phase through time to reach a short distanced target faster than time. The Metal ball is called A Chrono converger you throw this on the ground to summon a sphere and everyone but you will be frozen in time. And last and certainly not least is the Time winder which when thrown bounces towards a target and then slows down whoever it gains in contact with and then comes back to you.” Zilean said. “Thank Zilean, I owe you o-“ “You repay it.” Zilean replied “Now get going before you miss the train to Noxus that is 1 mile north from here.” Ekko nodded and ran out of his room. Before he did anything he Z-pointed. Then he ran straight down an alley way. Then to his left he saw a Train coming. Ekko activated the Phase Drive. Let’s see how this baby works. Ekko focused on the empty cart near the back of the train, & he appeared there. Impressive. Ekko sat back and enjoyed his ride to Noxus. When he arrived he used the Phase Drive to hop on to a nearby sidewalk. Ekko was astonished on how wealthy Noxus was living compared to Zaun, with their tall luxurious buildings, and with roads as smooth as metal. Then Ekko saw it. One big building with 12 columns supporting the front made out of a dark stone, with a shape of a capitol. There was the target. Swain was walking up the stairs of the building, with his cane and pet crow (Beatrice) by his side. Ekko then ran through the crow of Noxians and stood behind the Dark Stoned Building. He noticed a back entrance which was heavily guarded by 4 men with zap-pistol—same as the front. So Ekko Z-Pointed and tried something out. He walked up to the 4 men and asked nicely “May I go in Please.” But before they could open fire he turned on the Z-drive. So asking nicely wasn’t going to work. So instead Ekko pulled out one the Chrono converger and threw it done. Before the men could react the metal sphere starting to hum like an engine motor and a huge blast of energy escaped it. Leaving the guards completely still. Ekko walked past them and waved his hand in front of one of the guard just as an extra precaution. But nothing they stood there stiff like a statue. Ekko snatched the sphere and waltzed right in. He heard Swain talking to one of the guards and then heard the doors shut—probably to his office. Ekko knew he was so close to revenge but one messily guard away. He Z-pointed and took a left toward the office instantly he realized something, Swain wasn’t the one who left the room… The guard did! Swain stood there staring him down like a lion who just found his prey. Swain had a Handkerchief over his mouth but Ekko knew he was Grinning. “So it appears my goons once again messed up. But their execution will have to wait first I must get rid of you.” Suddenly a swarm of feathers dark feathers appeared out of nowhere cloaking Swain. What took his place was a monstrous beast that was a combination of a crow and a man. “So do you think you can defeat me?” The Beast replied “I don’t think, I know.” Ekko said. “Don’t listen to that rag Zilean he’s the worst Chrono keeper I’ve seen in years.” Swain launched towards Ekko with a giant swipe of his claws. Ekko dodged it because he already knew what was going to happen. After all this is his 10th time fighting him. Ekko then activated His Phase Drive and threw the time winder towards Swain to slow him and then phase drove to the chandelier above causing the flaming crown to fall on top of the Beast. Ekko rolled to the ground and saw Swain crushed under the Chandelier being burnt alive. And faster than you could say “Holy moly”. The room was filled with guards. But Ekko reached out and threw the Chrono Converger Freezing the Guards. Ekko bolted out of the back entrance leaving the remaining guards in the dust. Ekko saw the same train that took him to Noxus and leaped into the empty cart. Ekko sat their catching his breath. “So, was I right?” Zilean said. “You could’ve told him turns into a freaking CROW!” Zilean just laughed. “You won isn’t that good enough?” “Yes, I just wished AJuna was here.” “Somethings are just supposed to be the way they are…” If you can’t make the most out of any given moment, then you don’t deserve a single extra second.
