Morgana's new Lore has declawed her

I have to say, visually, I'm in love with Morgana's new design, I think it just looks fantastic and her animations really bring her to life. My issue comes with her new voice and lore. While I've only heard how she sounds in her trailer, her voice sounds too much like a character who is completely in control and just watching as things play out, deciding when to intervein (cough cough Le Blanc), as opposed to who she was previously, wracked with grief and unbridled hatred. Her new lore also possesses this issue. She's too relatable. I feel for her and am rooting for her to win because she seems all too mortal and sad, and I fully believe in her cause. What made old Morgana and Kayle's rivalry so interesting, was that it was hard to say that either one of them was right and they both had different versions of "Does the end justify the means?". Kayle was a paragon of light, virtue and order, but fell so far into her ideal, she began forcefully imposing her will on others, believing herself to be infallible. Morgana was betrayed when Kayle disowned her for speaking out against her, insisting that Kayle's idea of "right" was not universal. Similarly to Kayle, Morgana took on a "By any means necessary" approach to her ideas, and purposefully tapped into dark and forbidden magic, likely causing her even more pain and suffering, all to spite Kayle so she may one day destroy her. You could see their good intentions, but also their terrible actions. In the current lore, Kayle has become almost completely unrelatable, being an otherworldly being that is far above simple mortals, and Morgana has become too human, the fact that she's an all-powerful Aspect kind of being thrown to the wayside. Morgana doesn't have her "By any means necessary" approach and thus has really just seemed to soften into a tragic character, who has been cursed by powers humans can only dream of. I really think Morgana should be given back her claws, her spite her vindictive nature. Her story should be less of "Justice through atonement and feeling bad about what you did" and more of "Atonement can only be found through suffering and purification". Otherwise, she's just another in a growing roster of self-imposed exiles who help people from the shadows.

She sounds and like a seductress. And i don't like that, we have enough of this trope in the game already.

Yes, agreed. Good analysis. That's why I liked Morgana and Kayle and started to play them; because I liked their old lore and the way it was written.

I miss it that Morg did "bad" things with good intentions, whilst Kayle did the same from a different point of view, which only became apparent when u read both of their lore. Now it feels like Morg only does good and Kayle bad without their confluent duality.
