What comes from the West?

With the map about to appear and our currently known Runaterra being only 1/6 of the planet I think it's time to make some savage speculation about what is out there and the first place to begin it's the one that we know a little bit.

The Western Lands

_Why we know they exist? _

[sg-miss-fortune]

**It's lore digging time. **

We have some hints stronger than others so I'll clasify them all in three tiers being the first one the direct confirmation, the second one "The unknown origins" and the third one the "savage speculations comes from the sea" or the "This is Freljord but..."

Tier One

From the "Twilight of the Gods" story

Cebotaru the Wolf paced back and forth, impatient to be done with this conclave. His battle-hosts ravaged the far north, and the lands over the western seas. Of all of them, Cebotaru was closest to breaking the bloody stalemate.

Cristal clear. The lands over the western seas. We know nothing more but there's something out there.

Tier Two

**The Ruined King old kingdom. **

Okey, okey, I know, I know we have nothing strong to support this, but it's strange that no one in Valoran or in Shurima knows about the Iron Orden of Hecarim or the kingdom itself if the rupture of The Veil happened after the fall of Mordekaiser. Because we know something about what happened in the meantime in Valoran and in the South Continent and ... Hecarim style doesn't look like a Ionian one at least for me.

So... **where was that ancient long forgotten kingdom? **The West is an strong possibility.

And if you don't know what kingdom i'm talking about look at:

Kalista's story

In life, Kalista was a proud general, niece to the powerful king of an empire none now recall. (...)

Hecarim's story

Born into an empire long since gone to dust and forgotten, Hecarim was squired to a legendary company of knights known as the Iron Order, a brotherhood sworn to defend their king’s land. (...)

Tier Three

From "The Spear of Targon"

The dark-clad leader of the expedition frowned as he pulled his coal-black steed to a halt. (...) Behind the convoy, less than a mile distant, the sea glittered like dragon-scales in the dying light. A trio of galleys could be seen, sails unfurling as they turned north on the long journey home. (...) Your tongue is forked, serpent,” said the lone warrior. “You seek the blood of the Seer. Turn aside, or be slain.”

I know. The galleys turned north so we suppose that they come from Freljord. But.. if that's false? We don't know nothing about this story (at least not me) who is that Seer? who is the dark-clad leader? Where are these mercenaries coming from? Possibilities.

From "For Demacia"

Freljordian raiders? She was too far inland for reavers from the sea, and she’d have heard if one of the great mountain forts had fallen.

Again I know. It says Freljord. But maybe Demacia knows more reavers than the freljordians?

Unlimited possibilities

[zombie-brand-mindblown]

So what are your opinions? What we'll find in the far unknown lands of the west? A roman/greek like civilization? Something different? Tell me your own theories.

I find it curious that there are empires older than the Ruined King’s that have managed to stay in the history books. However, Ruined King’s Empire may have been forgotten simply because they were overthrown and ransacked.

Their King, two of their strongest military leaders (Kalista and Hec), plus a decent amount of warriors (including the formidable Iron Order) left and never returned. After all the atrocities committed by Hec and his men, I can imagine people were itching for rebellion, and the Empire fell apart.

That being said, coming from a foreign Western land would be pretty damn cool.

Could the seer be the same seer from the syndra story, i.e soraka?
